When the Ice Queen melts

Avery

The rumors spread like a wildfire about the incident yesterday between Emeri and the two boys who spit venomous words against me. While I was fighting for my school pride during the game yesterday. Here they are, busy fighting in the sideline.

But why does Emeri defended me from that two guys? Well, they already want to drop out before they can taste the tip of the Ice Queen's wrath. Though I feel bad for them. But you know it's not and never okay to disgrace a woman.

Should i talk to Emeri about this madness? And ask her to at least let the two guys stay in our school. People makes mistakes.

The bell rang for break time and all students scattered in the hallway. Me and friends walked past them, but I noticed those meaningful stares from other students.

"Why are they looking at me?" I asked Via a little confused.

Via chuckled softly. "Probably because of Emeri." I just sighed in dismay. "She definitely put you in the spotlight."

I hugged the books against my chest. "I don't like this."

"I know.." Via said with a nod. "Don't worry, it will pass."

"Hopeful-" I was cut off when a two familiar guys approached me with their most apologetic look.

"Mm Avery." The blonde guy said while scratching his eyebrow. "I'm Allen."

"Yes?" I asked.

"We are deeply sorry about what happened yesterday." The raven haired guy interjected.

"We didn't really meant." The blonde added.

"That's what you guys got." Via said with an eye roll.

Their face fell in shame.

"My father will kill me when he knew what had happened." The raven guy said in fear. "He will disown me. Please Avery, help us."

"We will do anything you want Avery." The blonde begged in his knees. "But we don't want to ruin our future."

Actually, I do not know what to say. I do not know how to help them, or how can I talk to Emeri?

But before I could respond, we all turned around when we heard the loud and clicking sound of something that hitting the floor. My jaw almost dropped when I saw Emeri walking gracefully with all of her beauty.

The two guys were looking down, they are scared of Emeri's presence. Wow! This is what Emeri can do to them. A 17 years old senior student who can rule the entire school.

You know what happened when you were watching a movie that everything became a slow motion? That's what I'm feeling right now. The Ice Queen is the one who break our staring contest and is glaring hard with the guys.

"We are sorry Avery." The blonde guy apologized in front of Emeri. "Please.."

But I looked at Emeri, she is just quiet. So yeah, I guess. This is will be my decision. "It's fine.." They look relieved. "You guys can stay here and be good."

"Yes we will." The raven guy said. "Thank you." They quickly walk away before I change my mind.

"You are so nice." Emeri whispered as she started to walk away with Elena by her side.

"Well it is the least thing we can do." I told her.

Emeri stopped and sighed. "Not all the time."

"I know.." I agreed. But before she could even move. "Thank you."

Emeri turned to look at me sideways. "Don't thank me." I don't know but it makes me smile. "I'm also a woman. No one deserves to be discourteous."

The class is over but I stayed in the school garden. I silently laid down the grass and stared at the cloudless sky. There so many things in my mind right now. Maybe fresh air can help. But the thought of Emeri flooded my mind. Admit or not. She is driving me crazy.

I heard an angelic soft voice coming from the music room since it's not that far from here. Out of curiosity, I got up and went in the room to follow the voice. My feet stopped right in front of the piano room. It's playing while someone is singing. I don't know who it is but the melody and rhythm touches my heart.

When I opened the door, the sounds has stopped.

"What are you doing here?" A familiar voice asked.

I almost jumped and hold of my heart. "Gosh, you scared the hell out of me." Though I don't see her face yet, i know who she is. "Emeri?"

Her eyes danced in amusement. "Yes, it's me."

I stepped more closer towards her. "You have a beautiful voice."

Though it's dark and cold. I could still noticed her blushed face. "Mm."

"Thanks." The only thing she said as she stood up and started walking away.

"Wait.." I yelled at her that made her stopped. "Why are you leaving?"

"Because you are here." She replied. Instead of getting offended, I just laughed. "What's funny?"

"You are cute." It came out of mouth naturally.

She turned to look at me with a confused look. "What? Me cute?"

"Yes you are."

Emeri crossed her arms. "Are you..."

"Shh." I hushed her. "Don't use that tiger look to me."

Her jaw dropped. "You are unbelievable." This time I let her go. I sat down the chair and laughing like an i***t.

Gosh. It feels good.
