Avery
It was indeed a long tiring day for me because after school, I went straight to the gym for our daily practice with the volleyball team. Walton University is very competitive in both academic and sport. So we take everything pretty seriously.
Also I can play several sport like soccer and badminton but my true love is Volleyball. It gives me so much adrenaline especially if there was a trash talking between. I'm just kidding. I can play guitar, piano and believe me or not, I play saxophone. Why? Because I find it sexy.
I'm at restaurant right now. Take note, this is ours. My family owns plenty of restaurant like Italian, Japanese and French restaurant, several hotels around New York and California.
My eyes drifted at the door and saw a tall, blonde and handsome guy. When our eyes met we both smile as I stood and greeted him. "You are always late."
My brother, twin to be exact hug me. "Sorry Avery. The traffic is horrible." Yes I have a twin but we studied in different schools. "Where is mom and dad?"
I sat down and stared at my brother. It feels like I'm looking in the mirror. Our only difference is the gender but all in all we are the same. "They are on their way."
"How was school?" Emert asked as he sits across me while folding his sleeves.
I shrugged my shoulder. "It was okay, boring."
"Don't worry, this is our final year in high school. We are almost out."
"You know Allen. Let's not talk about school." I leaned back and put my arm on top of the table. "Forget the stress and enjoy the night."
"That's a very good idea." My twin brother Emert agreed. "Hey, I met this chic at school. She is really pretty and her name is Hera Parker."
My eyebrows raised. "And you ask for her number?"
The smile of his face turned into a thin line. "No.." He said with a shake of his head. "Too bad Avery. Hera is a hot lesbian."
I couldn't help but laugh at his misery. Emert barely admire girls. When he did, when someone catches his attention it means he likes the girl. I also know that Emert isn't a homophobic but we can't force someone to be straight.
"That's.." I was out of words.
"Sucks." Emert supplied.
The waiter came and gave us tea while waiting for our parents since they already knew us. To make myself busy, I roamed my eyes in our restaurant. There were many people right now and I could see the satisfaction written all over their faces while eating. I can't blame them though because my parents make sure that all the food is very scrumptious and exquisite.
Then my heart froze when I noticed the two familiar faces sitting few tables from us. Why I didn't see them when I came here? I can't be wrong, the Queen of Walton is here.
"Who were you starring at?" Emert asked when he noticed my silence.
"A school mate." I replied timidly.
Emert followed my gaze. "Oh wow." His eyes were wide. "They are freaking hot!"
I laughed at him priceless facial expression "Indeed they were hot, pretty." My eyes were only looking at Emeri. "But a bitch."
"Bit— what?" Emert kinda mortified of my language. I never curse. "Wait, what is the name of that girl with a red hair?" He is referring to Emeri. "Sweet heaven, she is so beautiful."
Indeed, she is beautiful. I told myself but I could not bring myself to say it.
"Emeri." I breath out softly. "Emeri Perron and the blonde is Elena Green."
Emert took all his power to look away from those beautiful ladies and turned to me. "Perron? You mean the rich Perron family?" I answered him with a nod. "Wow." He returned his attention to Emeri's table and look at them in awe.
I felt my sweat slowly rolling down my forehead when my eyes met Emeri's menacing green eyes. Oh trust me, it was scary. My heart is racing like I was running for my life. How could someone be this so intimidating just by looking at me.
"Avery?" I heard my mom calling out my name.
"Mom." I was actually shock when I saw my parents standing in front of me. I quickly stood up and gave them hugs and kisses. "Allen and I are waiting."
Mother chuckled. "Well, my dear daughter we are here for like 2 minutes ago but it seems like you were in deep thought."
I felt my face grow hot. "Oh not really." I denied. There is no away that I would tell them about Emeri. "How was work mom, dad?"
Father helped mom to sits down before him. "It was okay, tiring."
"But we never complain about work because this is our business. The backbone of our family." Father added with a tired smile.
I really appreciate their hard work so they will be able to provide everything we need in life. This is why I'm doing all my best to make them proud of me. We started eating while our parents are asking about school. When they are busy, I secretly steal a look at Emeri.
For whatever reason, I saw her smiling and it's the most beautiful sight that I have ever seen. Oh my gosh. What I was thinking?
