Danielle clucked her tongue and stepped back. She was now with her back pressed against Alyssa's after, despite their best efforts in talking the Lewis's patrolling units out of starting a fight, they still attacked them. "These guys won't quit," Alyssa complained and slowly slid her backpack off her shoulders. Dropping it right by their feet. Danielle hummed in agreement. "They're men. And they're keen in protecting their pack lands with their lives." Alyssa tried to look at Danielle from over her shoulder. She had a perplexed face at how well the huntress seemed to know this kind of stuff. "But... I'm their alpha's niece." Danielle snorted in amusement. She even went as far as gesturing to the seven muscular men surrounding them with her free hand. "Feel free to try to explain that to them one more time." Danielle rolled the dagger she was holding over her hand in a skilled move. Almost taunting one of the guards that was growling at her. "I'm sure they feel much more welcoming after we knocked their colleagues down." Alyssa laughed remembering the faces those guys made the moment they arrived to find the other three men down. This actually feels pretty good, she mused. 'Isn't it a pity you took so long to give ourselves a chance?' her wolf wittily replied. Don't start with that again. She sighed. We're here now. That's all that matters. "You two are trespassing on particular property," one of the biggest men said in a very infuriated voice. His expression looked almost feral. It was clear his wolf was pushing forth and he was losing control. "Either go back, or face the consequences." Alyssa and Danielle casually looked down at the unconscious men lying around them and then back at the other werewolf's face with a calm expression. "Sure," the two girls said at the same time. Both glanced at each other over their shoulder and smirked. Alyssa raised her fists again before gesturing for the two men closest to her to come get her, while Danielle rolled her dagger one more time and took a fighting stance. "Get them!" the man from before yelled to the others with a sign of his hand. All of them advanced towards the two girls with a half shift. Their claws were out and looked sharp, Danielle noticed. Their teeth would definitelly be able to do a great deal of damage if she allowed herself to get caught. "Be careful," the huntress said to Alyssa. Surprising not only the princess, but herself. They didn't know each other for more than a day and she still felt like it would be a pity if the other girl died. "You too, witch." Alyssa replied. ~x~ Jesse's master was unhappy. As a matter of fact, all the newly-undead inside that hive were unhappy. Of course, it was a well-known fact that all transformed beings could reflect their creators' emotions. Because at the end of the day they were all connected by blood. But that still bothered the child profoundly. "Why the long face, little Jesse?" Gordon gave her a smug fanged grin as he walked past her. The girl sighed. "It's just that having to deal with you calling me little Jesse is tiring, GG." The other vampire let out a breathless laugh - something he inherited from his past life before being reborn in blood. Gordon used to be a chain smoker and had lung cancer. Their creator had been kind enough to pull him out of death's embrace, but Jesse never really agreed to it. She thought it was a bad idea before. And now that the man was constantly picking on her she hated the idea even more. But maybe that was just her master's irritable mood speaking for her. Jesse let out another deep sigh before throwing her head back and looking up to the ceiling from the armchair where she was sitting. Her master's clear locks looked like they were made of copper on the orange-ish light of the abandoned theater they used as home. It always amused her how he could look so peaceful even when his heart and mind were in a complete turmoil like in that moment. As ridiculous as it was she couldn't deny she had fallen in love with her creator. Despite all his faults: his secrecy, his cold demeanor towards all of them, his ruthlessness she still found that her eyes were constantly just looking for him. Every trace of Claude made her undead, darkened heart pulse as if she was still alive. Like now, as she stared up at his resting form, when all she could make of him was his pale skin and crossed arms as he hung upside down enjoying his immortal rest. Will you ever look at me, master Claude? Jesse sighed almost sad. She reached up with one hand as if to touch him. She never expected to find his coal black eyes staring back at her. "I am." His emotionless voice reached her ears and despite the fact she was already dead, Jessica felt a shiver run down her spine. ~x~ Only three guards remained. And despite the obvious disadvantage neither Alyssa, nor Danielle showed any signs of stopping. The leader of the group was quite wary about Danielle's abilities, specially since he had no idea what kind of supernatural being she was; he couldn't smell her scent no matter hard he tried. None of them could. "I'll get the witch," he informed the other men. The two nodded, while Alyssa laughed and Danielle sighed. "I am not a witch," she pointed out to no one in particular. Earning just another tired laugh from the werewolf princess. "You sure seem like one." Was the only thing Alyssa had time to say before having to defend herself against the other men who were now attacking her. "Ugh..." Danielle wasn't surprised by the guard's move to try and knock her off her feet. She knew a lot of battle strategies and fight moves, and had read enough action comic book to know that when an enemy was feeling cornered they became predictable. That's why, when the man sweeped the floor under her with his leg she jumped doing a flip over his shoulder and landing right behind him. Danielle heard him gasp in surpise, but it was too late for him. She rolled her dagger over her hand and made a shallow cut on the back of his neck. Just enough to draw some blood, nothing fatal. And with his wolf spirit healing abilities the cut closed in just a few seconds. But the damage was already done. "Y-you...!" The guard still managed to turn around to stare at her, but his eyes rolled back and he fell limply to the ground with soft thud - first on his knees, then on his face. When the huntress turned to Alyssa she found that the she wolf was also dealing with the other men quite well. The girl was laying on the ground with her legs wrapped around one of the guys' neck while her arms were wrapped tightly around the other one's just over her head. Both men were growling as they struggled. Meanwhile Alyssa just tightened her hold on them more. A few instants passed. Danielle walked calmly to where Alyssa had abandoned her backpack and picked it up. And when she turned around the princess was already right beside her. "Phew..." the girl had a large grin on her face. "We won." "We should move." Danielle handed the backpack back to her. "If we don't reach the main house soon so they see is us, more will keep coming." Not one moment later heavy footsteps echoed through the trees and Danielle rolled her eyes. "Here they come." Alyssa slumped her shoulders a little. "At this rate we'll be out here forever." "Don't move!" A familiar voice reached Danielle's ears before a ferocious growl rang around the entire clearing where they were standing. The two looked around and found several men had already surrounded them again. Danielle recognized only a few, while Alyssa would have recognized all of them if one hadn't stood out from the rest. Is that... her thoughts trailed off as her senses went haywire. 'Our mate,' her wolf said with simplicity. 'Take him.' Alyssa would have complied with that request if Aiden hadn't been faster. His big, muscular arms wrapped aqround her protectively and he pressed his nose against her hair. Taking in her scent and she did the same with her face burried in his chest. Danielle knew what that meant. And the sight made her smile. She had known all along what Alyssa's wolf wanted, she just didn't expect the girl to find her mate like this. "Well..." another familiar voice spoke. It was Leo, Danielle noticed and turned her attention back to the faces staring at her. "You sure know how to make an entrance." Danielle rubbed the back of her head, feeling a bit embarrassed all of a sudden. She ended up rolling her dagger in her hand a few times and then shoving it in her boot again. "They started it," she finally said and pointed to the fallen men. The huntress noticed three unknown men staring at her with interest, but didn't say anything. Alpha Henry was present, so she believed all was fine. For now. "They're all alive. Just...out..." Victor said with a mix of amusement and uncertainty in his voice. "Thank you." Alpha Henry said staring straight at Danielle. "For not killing them." The huntress snorted. "I wouldn't kill them for doing their job. Besides, your niece is pretty impressive. They shouldn't have underestimated her." All eyes turned to Alyssa. Aiden had let her go, but his hand was wrapped around hers while Alyssa was leaning against his side. Both seemed to be almost glowing. Mates sure are impressive, huh? Danielle thought to herself. "What?" Alyssa said after a while. When all eyes on her started to get annoying.
