Nash was reading the local newspaper as they waited for their ride to his aunt's Pack. Alpha Henry asked them to text as soon as their plane landed, so he could send some warriors to get them. That way their trip would go much more smoothly - and the old man would feel more at ease knowing they were guarded in case any threats made themselves known.
"Dad just called." Logan said as soon as he approached his brother on the VIP awaiting area they were using at the airport. He had two cups of coffee in his hands and offered one of them to Nash with a small sigh. "Ally disappeared."
The future king didn't really bother looking away from the news he was reading until his younger sibling was mentioned. Then his eyes widened slightly before finding their way to his brother's face.
Logan looked worried.
"What do you mean she disappeared?"
Logan shrugged. "Dad thinks she ran away after dinner the night before we departed. He's worried she might get herself in trouble."
It was Nash's turn to sigh.
He folded the newspaper and placed it back on the center table in the room before taking a long sip of his coffee.
"We should've known she would do something like this. She did act out of character during dinner."
Logan nodded in agreement. "My wolf says her spirit was very unhappy."
"Mine says the same." Nash closed his eyes for an instant. His wolf was extremely calm despite him being a pure blood werewolf and his spirit being an ancient one.
'Don't worry too much about it,' his wolf's voice resounded inside his mind almost like a whisper. 'She's where she should be. As are we.'
You keep saying that.
'Yet, you won't listen to me.' The wolf let out an amused sound. 'You're letting your insecurities cloud your vision.'
Nash didn't reply, so his wolf continued.
'When have I ever been wrong?'
The future werewolf king raised a brow, ready to argue back but a close growl snapped his and his wolf's attention to the spot right in front of him where Logan was sitting with a frown on his face.
"What's wrong, brother?"
But there was no response. Just another growl. Only this one didn't come from Logan, but from the waiting area's entrance.
Nash realized his brother was staring hard in that direction before he even turned to find their cousin standing there.
He couldn't remember how long it had been since they last saw Leo, but it had certainly been years.
When he came to visit them in their Pack they used to run around and play all day. Leo had always been the smaller one of them. And looking at him now, he still couldn't compare to their naturally tall and strong build. But he was a grown man now. And he most certainly did look like a proper future alpha.
Specially with those piercing eyes, Nash made a mental not as he realized Leo was in fact staring hard right back at Logan. His eyes were glowing like molten gold, and the sound reverberating from deep withing his chest was almost threatening.
It took a moment for Nash to realize that sound was not a growl.
"No way." A tall man that approached Leo mumbled and shook his head slightly. "I can't believe your mate is the prince, brat."
"I can't believe he found his mate before I did." Another man said. This one had dark hair and a deep voice.
He looked at Leo and then at Logan before his eyes finally landed on Nash.
"Your highness," he greeted with a slight bow that Nash dismissed very quickly with a gesture of his hand.
"Please, there's no need to be so formal. Just call me, Nash." He said and gestured to his brother with his head. "That's Logan."
The dark haired man nodded once. "I'm Aiden. And that's Victor. We're here to escort you."
"We're ready." Nash said with a small smile. When he turned to Logan he realized the other was still frozen in place, purring and staring in trance at his mate. The same seemed to be happening to their cousin. "Do any of you know how to snap them out of it?"

The day to meet with the werewolves had finally arrived. And to say Danielle was less than excited would be an understatement.
She had really, honestly, from the bottom of her heart, hoped they would not know how to wait and would show up at any moment to question her or try to take her back by force. And if any of that had happened she would've been set free from their agreement and would not have to see any of them ever again.
But unfortunately she had no such luck.
This Pack, specifically, stood true to their word.
It was refreshing to meet a group of supernaturals with honor after such a long time. It didn't change the fact she didn't want to go, but made it impossible for her to break her promise.
One can always hope. She sighed for the thousandth time as she finished applying the herbal oil on her skin to mask her scent. After all, despite the Lewis already knowing her secret, there were still other creatures roaming the woods - creatures of less honor. And Danielle hadn't survived so long all by herself by being careless. Which was also the main reason why she wasn't surprised when a slim figure tried to hit her with a backpack from behind.
"Ahh!" A female voice reached her ears just as she dodged the hit.
Danielle managed to immobilize her attacker with two simple moves: ducking and then grabbing their arm and pulling it behind their back before shoving their face down on the wooden surface of her dressing table. The backpack that was used as weapon was forgotten on the floor.
"You've got a lot of guts to trespass into my property and try to knock me out," the hunter girl said in a low menacing voice while applying more pressure on the bend arm she was using to keep the intruder immobilized.
"That's very rich, coming from a witch." The other girl managed to spit the words out almost as if they left a bitter taste in her mouth. "There was no scent of a living being here. And then there was you."
Danielle narrowed her eyes as she stared down at the silky, gleaming hair of her attacker. The skin of their arm felt soft to the touch under her calloused hands and she smelled like flowers colony. "Who are you?"
The girl squirmed under Danielle's weight on her arm and back, but couldn't move.
She let out a whimper.
"Answer me!" Danielle repeated in a slightly louder tone and pressed even harder against the girl's arm.
"A-Alyssa..." the girl choked out with a whimper. "My name is Alyssa."
"What are you doing here, Alyssa?" Danielle's tone was almost as sharp as the whistle of her arrows. "Did someone send you?"
The werewolf princess let out another pained whimper as she tried to get out of the other's hold. "N-No one- No one sent me!" One more whimper. "Let go! You're hurting me!"
"You broke into my home and attacked me. Do you think I care that you're hurting?" Danielle shook her head slightly. "You're not very smart are you? Tell me one good reason why I shouldn't just kill you right now."
Danielle felt the moment Alyssa froze and something inside her snapped.
You're not from around here, she thought to herself as she stared down at the back of the girl's head.
"Tell me the truth," Danielle loosened her hold on Allyssa. "What are you looking for here? How did you even get here?"
Alyssa closed her eyes for a second. She pondered about making up a lie. She felt trapped and powerless.
That witch was indeed powerful. Whoever they were they managed to mask their scent so well, Alyssa couldn't tell there was anyone close until she actually saw them. Not only that, their powers were so strong they managed to immobilize her without any weapons or poisonous potions.
'Just tell her the truth,' Alyssa's wolf said. 'Tell her you're a werewolf. And tell her you're here to find yourself.'
What!? Are you insane? She'll kill us!
"I'm not going to ask you again." Danielle warned her and tightened her hold again.
'Just do it!' Alyssa's wolf ordered.
"I'm..." Alyssa felt teary eyed and that made her so angry she had to bite down on her lips to keep from growling at herself for being so weak. "I'm a werewolf."
Danielle scoffed. "That much was clear the moment you mentioned my scent. Why are you here? How did you get here?"
"I'm here to find myself." Alyssa whimpered in defeat. "I ran away from home, from my family and duties. I came here to find my aunt's Pack, but I got lost and found this cabin. I thought it was empty."
"What Pack?" Danielle finally let go of Alyssa and stepped back. "I know all the packs around here. What's the alpha's name?"
Alyssa turned around to face Danielle and sent her a glare while massaging her pained arm.
'Tell her.' Her wolf said.
"Alpha Henry Lewis' Pack." Alyssa said with furrowed brows.
There was a pause and a long moment of silence while Danielle simply stared at her with an expressionless face.
"Are you going to kill me?" Alyssa questioned after the silence became too much; after the other girl's stare became too uncomfortable.
"If I was we wouldn't be having this conversation." Danielle replied still with no emotion evident on her face, or voice.
The huntress stared at Alyssa for another moment before letting out a sigh.
"Just grab your stuff. I'll take you there." Danielle scratched the back of her head slightly and reached for the dagger that was over a dresser. She hid it in her boot and then glanced up at Alyssa one more time. "I was headed that way anyway. Let's go."
