"Missing you is the hardest thing I've got to deal with everyday." Unknown.
Yoongi was playing the piano.
The melody that reigned around the garden was so sad and melancholy that even trees and plants moved slowly with the rhythm.
All the servants looked at their King through the windows of the castle. Some cried because they did not want him to lose his smile again when he finally regained it after many years.
Hoseok was looking at him from his room, his head rested on the wall. He was afraid that Yoongi would experience the same sadness and sorrow he had experienced after Kythaela's death.
The King was dancing his fingers over the keys of the piano, thinking of the last look that Jimin had given him a week before.
After leaving Adalis's castle, Taehyung took Jimin's hand and took him away from Yoongi. The young man had tears in his eyes, he just wanted to say goodbye or give the King a last hug, but the duke refused to see them together again.
Yoongi thought he was right, he didn't want Jimin to be in danger again because of him. The further he is, the safer he will be.
The King did not manage to sleep for a week. He did not eat enough and almost never went out of his chambers.
He was angry because he could not be with the one he loves. Sometimes he got mad with his late father for choosing him instead of his older brother. He blamed him for creating this jealousy and hatred between them.
Every time he closes his eyes, he would see Jimin smiling to him with his blushing cheeks and his hair shining like a diamond.
He would hear his small voice calling him and feel his laugh.
He pressed his lips and tried to focus on the notes in order not to cry.
The King was not someone whose tears fell easily, but losing the one he loves again was too much for his heart.
"Y-your Majesty." a maid interrupted. "Your dinner is ready."
Yoongi stopped playing and stared at the fairy with his tired eyes. He sighed, "I am not hungry." he mumbled.
"Your Majesty, you have not eaten since yesterday's breakfast, you will get sick this way. Everyone is worried about you."
The King stared at the servants who were watching him nervously from afar. He rubbed his neck and got up, "What is prepared for dinner?" he asked.
The maid smiled, "The cook made sure to make all your favorite meals."
"Alright." Yoongi nodded and followed her inside.
Hoseok came to greet him when they met in the corridor. He bowed to him and helped him take off his jacket. He decided not to say a word because he knew the King didn't feel like talking about anything at that moment.
When they arrived to the dining room, they found the prince of Rosa waiting in the table.
The pink-haired smiled and helped Yoongi sit. "It is nice to see you around this table again."
"Thank you."
Hoseok hesitated. He didn't know if it was a good idea to sit with the Prince after what happened with Namjoon.
His lover tried to convince him that there was nothing going on between them, but he knew how powerful Jin was. He could easily charm Namjoon and make him one of his other toys.
"Aren't you eating with us sir Hoseok?" Jin interrupted his thoughts. "Sit please."
The Wizard knew his kindness was fake. He was only trying to look good in front of the King.
"Sit Hoseok." Yoongi said. "You love grilled meat."
The purple-eyed smiled and sat next to his friend. He couldn't refuse him.
When the dinner was served, the three of them ate silently, each one drowned in his own thoughts.
Also, the food was so delicious that it made them forget their concerns for a moment.
Waiting for dessert, the prince finally broke the silence, "Your Majesty, I was actually going to tell you that I will be leaving to Rosa in two days."
Hoseok smirked, "Good riddance." he mumbled to himself.
"It was nice having you around." the King simply said.
Yoongi never really liked Jin, they were not close and he was uncomfortable around him knowing what he can do with his power. This is why he tried not to develop any sort of friendship with him or let him get close to one of his people inside the castle.
"I am actually still planning on doing what I told you last time." the Prince added.
Yoongi rubbed his chin, "I don't recall it, what was it again?" he asked.
Jin cleared his throat and looked at Hoseok who was silently having dinner. He smirked and spoke, "I want to take sir Namjoon with me."
The Wizard nearly choked on his soup. He kept coughing until a maid helped him with a glass of water.
His eyes grew wider as he watched the Prince eating peacefully as if he said nothing special.
Yoongi looked at his friend and pressed his lips.
"As an experienced healer, I will need him to teach the ones I have in my castle. He is going to be a big help to them." Jin continued.
Hoseok clenched his fists and tried to breath correctly. He was too angry that he even lost his appetite.
"You should ask him first." the King said. "It is up to him if he wants to go with you or not."
The pink-haired just hummed, frowning at Hoseok.
Yoongi called a maid to the table, "Call sir Namjoon please."
"Yes your Majesty." the fairy bowed and left the dining room.
Namjoon appeared a few moments after. He approached their table and bowed to the King, "Your Majesty."
He saw the Prince smirking and frowned, "Your Highness." he bowed to him too. He then saw Hoseok staring at the bowl in front of him, he was playing with his hands under the napkin, he knew he would do this when he was nervous.
He kept staring at him confusingly, wondering what got him preoccupied.
He cleared his throat, chasing any thoughts from his mind and stood next to the King, "You called for me Your Majesty."
"Yes." Yoongi nodded. "The Prince has something to ask you."
Hoseok tensed.
Namjoon looked at Jin, raising an eyebrow, "Anything you need your Highness."
Jin nodded with a smile, "I am going back to Rosa in two days." he started.
The Elf just nodded. He kept looking at his pink eyes, waiting for him to continue.
"I am thinking of taking you with me there."
He froze. "P-pardon?" he quickly looked at Yoongi in order to explain what was happening. Then he looked back at the Prince, "What do you mean? Why would I go with you?"
Jin took a sip of the wine, enjoying his reaction. "I want you to train my healers. I spent almost a month here and I could see how talented you are, this is why I need you to teach them."
The silver-haired stared at Hoseok. The wizard didn't look his way since he stepped inside the dining room. He knew he was still mad at him because he thinks there is something between him and Jin even though he did everything to prove him wrong.
Now, he was only hoping he would speak and ask the King not to let him go to Rosa. He wished he would at least show him that he doesn't want him to go with Jin, but he remained silent.
"I wil give you some time to think about it." the Prince said. "Just think of it as a good opportunity to make yourself more popular among healers. You never know, you might become the most requested one."
"I don't need popularity." Namjoon mumbled coldly. "I am a royal healer, I only work for my King and his castle."
A small smirk appeared on Yoongi's face.
Namjoon looked at Hoseok again whose eyes were still fixed on the table. He bit the inside of his cheek and added, "But I will think about it anyways."
