Chapter 4

534 Words
Jacob’s P.O.V I arrived in La Push and headed to my house. Arriving home, I parked, and then Dad wheeled out, greeting, “Hey, Jacob.” I put down the stand and got off my bike. “Hey, dad,” I greeted him. "How have you been? It's been days since I last saw you," Dad remarked. “I am doing fine now.” “Really? I thought you would feel upset because Bella is now dead.” “Actually... she is still alive.” Billy looked surprised. “How? Sam said she was dead,” he explained. "She's a vampire now. She changed after she died," I explained. “Oh.” “What’s your plan now that Bella has become a vampire?” “I don’t know. Bella is now married and her being a vampire prevents us from being together.” Dad nodded. “If you imprint on someone, you will forget Bella,” he explained. “Yeah, well, I got to go. I have to talk to the pack. See you later.” I said. Leaving the house, I shifted into my wolf form and raced through the forest to reach them as soon as possible. I didn’t find them, so they might be at the beach. I made my way to the beach. Observing their gathering, I returned to my human form and approached them. Jared spotted me and said, “Hey, Jacob! Still upset about Bella?” “No, she’s now a vampire.” Embry smirked. “She is hotter now?” he asked. “Yeah, I guess she is still the same except for the eyes,” I responded. “Oh.” Turning to everyone, I asked, “Are you still killing Renesmee?” “No, we forgot about that,” Paul responded. “I didn’t; I am still thinking about it,” Sam responded. “Well, there’s no reason to, because Bella isn’t dead,” I said. “True,” “So, what are you going to do about Bella?” Embry asked. “I don’t know. We are friends now, and we can’t even hang out because she would break the Quileute treaty.” I responded. “How would she break the Quileute treaty? She has done nothing wrong, right?” “No.” It felt muted. Then Sam said, “I have a deal. If Bella behaves, she can enter our territory.” Sam extended his hand for a handshake. Glancing at it, I asked, “Only her?” “Yes,” Sam responded. I shook his hand. “We have a deal,” I said. Letting go of his hand, I faced the group and said, “Goodbye, all.” “Wait, Jacob, are you returning to the pack? And are Seth and Leah coming back?” Sam asked. “No, and I am unsure about them. You can ask them, but I assume they’re on my side.” “What do you mean, you have your pack now?” “I guess because Seth and Leah are at my side.” “Oh well, good luck.” Sam extended his hand for a shake, and we exchanged greetings. “Thanks,” I responded.
