Bella's P.O.V
When I got to the main house, it was now dark. So I got out of the car and headed up to the house. I opened the door, and Rosalie came running down the stairs.
"Hi," I said, surprised.
Rosalie asked, "Where have you been? You've been gone all day."
"Yeah, I went to hang out with Jacob," I responded.
"Why?"
"I had to deal with some things."
"What things?"
"Friends things and treaty things."
"What treaty things?"
"It's about me."
"Oh. What about you?"
"Can we talk about this later? I want to hold Renesmee and see Edward."
Rosalie gazed at me, curious. "Okay," she said, intrigued.
I rushed up the stairs. Rosalie stopped me, saying, "Wait."
"What?" I asked, turning around to look at her.
"What's with your eyes? They're brown?"
"Oh, I forgot. I put in some contacts to pretend to be human around people."
"Yep. Well, I'm going inside."
Rosalie nodded.
When I got upstairs, I saw Edward in the living room holding Renesmee in his arms. He looked up and smiled. I walked over to him and kissed him on the lips.
"How were you today?" Edward asked as he pulled away from the kiss.
"Good. I'm allowed to be in their territory after this week if I don't hunt on their land."
"That's good."
"Yeah."
"Do you want to hold her?"
"Of course."
Edward handed her to me, and I put her in my arms.
He placed her in my arms and then met my gaze. "Bella," he whispered.
"Yeah,"
"Why are you wearing contacts?"
"I had to wear them today, so I can get around town without people thinking I'm a vampire."
"You went to town?"
"Yeah, and I didn't kill anyone."
"That's great. I am proud of you."
"Thank you."
"So, should we get home?"
"Yeah."
We walked downstairs, and Edward stopped.
"What's wrong?" I asked, worried.
"We need to give Rosalie the baby," Edward responded.
"No, I want to take her home."
"Are you sure?"
I nodded.
"Okay," Edward said.
We headed out the door and headed to our cottage.
I opened the door and brought Renesmee inside the cottage. "This is your home," I told her. "Where you'll grow up."
I headed down the hall, and Edward locked the doors. After he did that, he caught up with me down the hall.
Arriving at Renesmee's room, I pointed, "This is your bedroom."
I walked over to her crib and set her in her bed. After that, I put the blanket on her. Then Edward walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me.
"Isn't she beautiful?" I said.
"Yes, she's adorable," Edward said.
"Well, we should let her sleep."
Edward nodded and tried to guide me out, but I didn't want to leave yet.
"I need a minute," I said, pausing.
Edward nodded and walked out.
I turned back to Renesmee and looked at her. "Goodnight, baby," I said. "I love you so much."
I kissed her forehead, left the room, and headed down the hall.
I sat on the couch when I got to the living room. Sitting down, I saw a letter open lying on the coffee table. I picked it up to see who dropped it off. Unfortunately, there is not any name on it. Edward walked into the room and sat next to me.
Glancing at Edward, I held up the letter. "Who sent this?" I inquired.
"It's from Alice and Jasper. They sent it right after they left."
"When was this today?"
"A couple of hours after you left to see Jacob."
Edward leaned in and kissed my neck.
"Oh," I said and looked at the letter again. "Why did they leave?"
"It's in the letter," Edward responded as he kissed my neck.
Before I opened the letter, Edward started kissing my ears, distracting me." Edward," I moaned.
"What?"
"Not right now, maybe later."
Edward groaned. "Alright," he said.
I looked back at the envelope and pulled the letter out.
Dear Bella and Edward,
We left to protect you and your baby. I had a vision that Volturi was coming. Somehow, they find out about your baby, think it is a threat to the vampire world and humans, and want to kill it. We will be back with evidence that the baby is not a threat to anyone, but we will not be back for a while. Good luck to you guys, and stay safe.

I put the letter back in the envelope on the coffee table.
"Why didn't she tell us face to face?" I wondered.
"I don't know. Jasper and Alice didn't have time and left at the last minute," Edward responded.
"Yeah, I guess so."
"So, what will we do about the Volturi if they get here early?"
"I don't know. Let's worry until it happens."
"Okay."
"Bella, do you want a bath?"
"Sure."
Edward walked out of the bathroom, headed to the bathroom, and turned on the water.
A couple of minutes later, Edward walked back into the room. "Ready?" he asked.
"Yep," I responded as I got up, walked over to Edward, and headed into the bathroom with him.
