Bella’s P.O.V
Bolting out of the shop, I bumped into a super tall, cute guy. “I’m so sorry,” I apologized.
“It’s fine; that happens a lot,” the adorable boy reassured.
“Thanks. Well, I’ve got to go.”
I walked off, being all shy and stuff. What was wrong with me? I went back to the car and drove home.
Jacob’s P.O.V
Made it to Charlie’s house, pulled in, and parked the bike. I heard him making noises by his house, so I went back there.
“Hey, Charlie,” I said, walking up to him.
“Hey, Jacob, have you heard anything?”
“Charlie, Bella’s... uh...”
Charlie frowned. “No, she’s not,” he said.
“No, no, no! I mean, she’s... she is fine. She’s back home and feeling better,” I responded.
“Why didn’t you say so? That’s great.”
Charlie walked toward the front of his house, relieved.
“Wait,” I said, “something you must see.”
“I need to see Bella,” Charlie said.
“Look, for Bella to get better, she had to...change,” I said, trying to get it out of my system.
Charlie paused, facing back. “What do you mean by ‘change’?” he inquired.
I sighed. “Here goes nothing,” I muttered.
I undressed, and Charlie panicked. “Jacob, what are you doing?”
“You don’t live in the world you think you do.”
“Jacob, put your clothes back on.”
“Now, this may seem absurd, but stranger things happen daily, trust me.”
I got hot and shifted into a wolf right before him.
Bella’s P.O.V
As I climbed the stairs, I spotted Edward with the baby. When I walked up to him, Edward glanced at me. I put my arms out, wanting to hold her, and Edward put her in my arms.
“She’s growing fast. Soon, we won’t be able to hold her,” Edward mentioned.
I nodded.
As I held her, Edward peered at my wrist. “What’s that, Bella?” he inquired.
“Oh, that. Jacob gave it to me while we were out, so I got a charm for it.”
Edward raised an eyebrow, reading the note. “Best friend,” he murmured.
“What? I wanted something to represent him.” I said.
Edward nodded.
“Are you jealous that Jacob gives me gifts, and you don’t?” I inquired.
“No, and I give you gifts,” Edward responded.
“Ah, huh?”
“Fine, a little.”
I shook my head and laughed.
Edward sadly admitted, “He gives more to you than I do.”
“Edward, you give everything by being with me. If I didn’t have you, I would be heartbroken.” I said.
“Yeah.”
Emmett and Rosalie entered the room.
“Hey Bella, you’ve been away for quite some time,” Emmett remarked.
“I know. I needed to do a few things,” I stated.
“No, I mean, you leave a lot. “
“I have had things I must do.”
“Let me guess, going to see your werewolf friend.”
“Yeah, that too.”
“Ah, huh?”
We chilled on the couch for the past hour with Renesmee and Edward. The family was watching a football game I wasn’t into.
