Chapter 4 He sped down the corridors to his room. The door unlocked as soon as the scanner registered his face. He slipped through and shut it quickly behind him. Ren stood across the room, near the doorway to the bath. He’d obviously been pacing, fretting. Darzul had only been gone a couple of hours. Still, Ren had said he was not patient. It seemed he spoke nothing except the truth, at least in that. “Get dressed and ready,” Darzul said. “Pick a black shirt and pants from my closet.
