Unrestrained Anger

1097 Words
“Figured I'll find you here.” Teny smiles the moment my eyes locked with his. “You really take your duties serious.” “That's what a good Alpha does. He takes care of his people no matter the situation.” I smile at him. “Good morning Beta!” Katy greets enthusiastically. “Morning love.” Squatting to her height, Teny embraces the little diva who's wagging her invincible tail in happiness. “You're glowing this morning.” He lightly pinched his cheeks. “Ouch, that hurts!” She pouts. “Stop that, it's not a good look for you.” Teny lightly stoke her cheeks. The other children seeing the new member in our mist all ran towards him. “Beta Teny!” They shout in glee. “My pretty loves.” Rising to his feet, he open his hands wide to embrace them. Watching them being happy makes me happy. As an Alpha, the happiness of my pack is mine as well. Should they be sad, I'll also be. “Beta Teny did you come to play with us?” Rut ask in expectancy, his face really bright with happiness. “Am sorry that won't be the case today. I have to take the Alpha somewhere, hopefully we'll be back in time.” He says with the killer smile of his that seems to capture the heart of kids around him. “Oh.” The kids wailed. “Don't worry, tomorrow will be the day I dedicate to you all. We'll play from the Rising of the sun to the rising of the moon. So, what do you say about that?” He raised a brow. “We can't wait for tomorrow.” Rissa says with a smile. “I'll make sure to ask mother to prepare extra snacks for me.” “Me too!” The others chorused. I highly doubt there's anything more in their thoughts aside from the thoughts of spending time with Teny. Teny just have that natural vibe going for him. It's still a surprise he has not met his mate yet. Most times he jokes that the goddess might be planning something for us, and that's her reason for delaying the coming of our mates. As if. I scoff. “So…. Can I take your Alpha away now?” He asked them. “Of course!” “Take care of the Alpha!” “Have a safe journey!” “Don't allow any harm to come to the Alpha.” The children all gave their suggestions one after the other, happy and fulfilled smiles on their faces. “Okay then, we'll take our leave.” Teny turned to me, linking our arms together, he led me out of there. “Where are we going?” I ask the moment we are out of earshot. I restrained myself from asking because I don't want the children to hear about it. Who knows, it might not be all that good news. I don't want the children to worry. “The elders called for a meeting. They want to discuss the terms of the ultimatum.” “What do those disgusting males want?” I snap in anger. Gone is the mild Alpha who the children love, and in his place is the alpha the entire pack fears. “They're afraid you might piss the Alpha of the fiery pack off should they allow you to do things on your own. They're concerned about the safety of the people.” “Safety? You say safety?” I angrily growl at him. “How can they think like that? The safety of my people is my Priority.” “I know that, Dess, and your pack know that too.” “But the damn elders don't know that.” I growl in anger. “How can they talk as if I've being nothing but a good Alpha to the pack.”? I can feel my wolf. It won't be long until he finally makes an appearance. “Calm down Dess. You can't lose control, it'll fuel the elders to change their minds about you.” Teny gives me a soothing pat on my back. “I just don't think I can stand this anymore.” “It's okay, just calm down.” My wolf is far from being calm. All he wants to do is tear those foolish elders limp by limp for thinking such thoughts about me. How can they talk of thinking of the safety of the people when that have being my duty ever since I became the Alpha? “Stop thinking of them, and focus on containing your wolf. You don't accidentally want to hurt a pack member, do you?” His words caused me to finally get my wolf in check. I might be angry with the elders, but I have no cause to take that anger out on others. * I calmly walk into the room of judgement *I seriously don't know why it's tagged as that, and I don't care* Teny right behind me to stop me from doing anything he thinks I might regret later. “Don't forget, regardless of what the elders request from you, you should never show your anger. Never allow it take a hold of you, regardless of what.” He says for the tenth time. “Understood. You don't have to say those words as if you're chanting a mantra.” “Of course, I am chanting a mantra. How do you think I can be able to get you to listen to me if I don't chant?” “Then keep it low-key. Those elders still have their advanced hearing, it hasn't disappeared with age.” I swear, it seems as if the older they get, the more advanced their senses becomes. “For the final time, then, don't…” “I get it, you don't need to spell it out. I'll do as you asked. I won't allow my anger take the hold of me.” I grit my teeth. Far be it that I'll sit and allow the elders talk to me as if am a pup who needs corrections. I am the Alpha of the pack. My position wasn't gotten based on favoritism, but on how brave I was to tackle most of the things that seemed difficult for the Alpha. I'm Alpha not by any favour, but on my strength, and my dedicated ways. Had it not being for that, the Alpha wouldn't have given me the honour of being an Alpha.
