The Vampire King

Chapter 6

Harry:

"We are leaving" I said looking at King Alexander and Queen Monique.

"Can we at least say goodbye to her?" Queen Monique asked and I sighed but nodded.

"Leonardo go get her" I said coldly, he didn't say a word instead he used his power on me to calm me down, as vampires each of us had his own unique power Leonardo's happened to be controlling your emotions, and believe me it sometimes gets annoying.

"Now Leonardo" I ordered firmly, I wanted to get out of this palace.

"You need to calm down mate" Nicco said as he read my mind and knew how angry I was.

"Stay out of my head Nicco" I said strictly, everyone knew not to mess with me when I was in this state.

"Yes sire" he sighed before looking at King Alexander and his family.

Kiara:

I sat in the garden just taking deep breaths trying to calm myself down.

This was not happening, my family did not give me up, I knew they didn't.

My emotions were suddenly shifted from angry to calm, nervous to relaxed.

What on Earth?

"Princess?" I heard a familiar lad's voice I turned and found Lord Leonardo standing behind me.

"Hello" I said and just seemed to relax even more, if anyone saw how calm I was now, they would think I was lying about my feelings and anger.

"What is happening to me?" I asked feeling myself relax more as time went on before laying down, but my head never touched the grass as Leonardo was sitting behind me and my head was on his lap in a matter of seconds.

"I'm controlling your emotions, each vampire as his own unique power, controlling emotions is my power" he said gently as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"Oh" was all I said before sitting up and running my hand through my own hair fixing the mess I've probably caused seeing as I run my fingers through my hair whenever I was upset.

"How did you find me?" I asked, I was alone in my own garden, so how would he have found me.

"I caught your scent and followed the sound of your heartbeat" he answered casually, I massaged my temple as it was the only thing, I could do to process everything that was going on.

"We have to go princess" Lord Leonardo said gently, I could see the sympathy in his deep brown eyes, but I didn't want it, I was a princess and people feeling sorry for a princess was unacceptable.

"Where to?" I asked looking into the lord's eyes.

"Your family wants say goodbye before you leave" Leonardo said gently and I frowned slightly but nodded.

He used his power to relaxed me again and I stood up, I looked the garden remembering how I fixed and designed it myself, planted each tree, how I used to train here, and danced here. I grew up here, how I was going to be forced to leave was breaking me more than ever.

Leonardo looked at me and I nodded at him taking a step in front of him leading him to the throne room, I walked slowly taking in everything that I was forced to be leaving behind, my childhood, my whole life was getting lost before my eyes and I could do nothing about it.

The guards and servants bowed down in respect to me wherever I passed, I was always respected within these walls, I didn't know how I would be treated wherever I was going.

I nodded at the guard in front of the door of the throne room and he bowed down before opening the door for Lord Leonardo and I to pass "are you okay princess?" Lord Leonardo asked seeing my sagged shoulders and my head down.

I didn't answer, I wiped the falling tears from my eyes before walking inside and going down the stairs slowly like a princess would, keeping my back straight, chin high and emotion void face.

Being a princess sometimes forced you to do and be someone you are not, therefore even if you were breaking inside, feeling pain, or feeling as if you were being ripped apart, you were to smile and pretend like nothing was happening, it was your duty.

I looked at King Harry who was currently throwing glares toward both Leonardo and I then I looked at my family and gave them a small nod before walking up to them.

I bowed to both my mother and father before taking my father's hand and kissing it, he opened his arms for me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm truly sorry my dear" father said, and I pulled away from him before walking up to my mother and hugging her as well, I hugged my brothers and smiled at them.

"Remember dear this is your home and you are welcome whenever you want to come" father said and I nodded smiling, I felt a stab in my heart at those words but I couldn't voice it out.

"Take a good care of yourself okay?" Mother said and I nodded before bowing down to her.

"Princess?" Lord Nicco said from behind me "time to go “I took a step back looking at everything I was leaving behind one last time before going to stand beside the vampires and closing my eyes.

King Harry didn't say a word as he looked at me, though the guilt in his eyes was visible.

Lord Nicco extended his hand out for me to take and I took a deep breath before placing my hand in his, then everything suddenly disappeared from the castle and we were in a different room.

It was a throne room and it wasn't ours from the castle it was different.

My vision started getting blurry and it felt as if the world was spinning, I couldn't even stand straight.

"Woah Kiara" King Harry's voice was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
