The Vampire King

Chapter 5

Kiara:

"Here we are" I smiled at King Harry.

He entered my room before me, and I came in behind him as I closed the door.

My room was purple and was indeed very huge, well I was a princess after all.

King Harry looked at the chandelier somehow mesmerized by the crystals that hung from it, I also had charms on the edge of it, though I didn't know how I got most of them as I sometimes woke up finding them in my hand but I always hung them there, they made me feel safe. 

"So, what do you wa...?" The king turned to face me, and I quickly snapped his neck luckily catching him off guard, he fell on the ground and I could swear my heart felt as if it were about to be ripped off.

Ignoring the ache in my chest I quickly made a rope with my blankets since I was on the second floor I wasn't that far off the ground.

I slipped from it and ran toward the stable.

Now I know what you’re thinking why she didn’t use a car, well running through the stable should make it easier to lure them away.

But I needed a plan and I needed it quick, so the minute I reached the stable I opened every gate I passed and yelled so all the horses ran out.

I rode my horse not having time to put the reins or saddle, so I had to ride him on his bare back and held his hair, I looked at the door feeling pain, it was like my body was burning with the need to go back.

"Come on run!" I yelled ignoring the ripping pain I felt in my heart and kicked the horse's belly making it canter on the spot.

At that moment I was glad that I could ride properly because I would have easily fallen off if I didn't.

I ran out between about twenty horses in hopes that no one would catch my scent or find me.

But I suddenly saw a shadow running by and felt a whisk of wind around, making my heart race in fear and panic.

I saw a few more shadows and suddenly two horses dropped to the ground.

"No!" I yelled and stopped as two more dropped.

"PLEASE STOP" I yelled again this time stopping my own horse by pulling his reins back.

Suddenly a very angry king yanked from my horse and held me very tightly against a tree, he grabbed my neck and squeezed tightly cutting any air from reaching my lungs and choking me.

I squeezed the king's hand in hopes that he would let go, seeing the rage in his eyes made me feel as if my insides were burning from pain.

"King Harry stop" I suddenly heard Lord Nicco's voice. 

"HARRY YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HER!" Lord Nicco yelled and the king was suddenly pulled away from my body making me fall on my knees.

A guy with brown hair and brown eyes came and pulled me in his arms.

I was so scared and shaking and all I could do was cry.

"LEONARDO LET HER GO!" King Harry yelled at the guy that was holding me.

"Don't you see that you're scaring the life out of her!" Lord Leonardo answered making the king freeze in his spot as he stared at me.

My heartbeat was starting to slow down as my body began to relax from the intense moment.

"K-Kiara?" King Harry called but I just buried my face in Lord Leonardo's chest in fear.

He picked me bridal style and vampire sped us inside.

He took me into the ballroom, and I was met by my very worried family.

Once Lord Leonardo put me down, I ran into my mother's arms and cried.

"Shhhh its okay baby" she cooed but nothing helped I was nearly killed less than five minutes ago.

I cried in mother's arms making her she hug me tighter and kiss my hair.

My tears flowing as if I was a baby crying in his/her mother's arms and all I could think about was wanting to sleep all the pain away.

Harry:

I entered the ballroom and found Leonardo staring at Kiara who was sobbing in her mum's arms.

"What did you do?" King Alexander suddenly asked me very angrily.

"Excuse me?" I snapped at him.

"You were meant to win her over not scare the life out of her!" King Alexander yelled.

"Kiara?" I called but she wouldn't even look at me "please just look to me" I said but nothing.

She pulled away from her mother's arms looked her in the eye before wiping her tears away.

"Lords, please call me when it’s time to leave" was all she said before walking past me ignoring my presence.

"What happened out there?" King Alexander asked and I bared my fangs at him, I was in no mood for this human nonsense.

"King Harry" King Alexander ordered, and I turned to look at him, he knew he was superior as well though he hid it quite well, I must admit it was an achievement from his own part.

"You are to protect my child or I swear to you, I will come and kill you with my bare hands" King Alexander spoke with such power it would've made any man cower but not me.

"Am I clear?" King Alexander asked and I turned to face him.

"Then your daughter is to learn how to act as a queen before she is forced to" I answered looking him in the eye, he knew that I did not fear him, but even I knew that he would kill anyone who tried to think about hurting his daughter.

"She is not to be forced for anything" King Alexander answered me, I could see his eyes changing in color which made me take a step back, if he were to light this place up I did not want to be the first casualty.

"Alexander" Queen Monique spoke gently to her husband, their kids had no idea what they were capable of, to be honest it was both a blessing a curse, though they were to find out soon and that would be the end of everything.

Unless this wedding is to work...
