The Lake

Tia gasps as Lizzie stands up, turning the chair around that I am sitting on.  “Tadda” presenting me to Tia and Allison. “Wow you can do my makeup any day” Allison says to Lizzie. “Thanks, but I got a fabulous model” I get up to look at myself in the mirror. “Let’s just curl your Hair now then you’re ready to go.” Liz chuckles. Tia pats on my Bed then starts to curl my hair. Liz put’s makeup on Allison. I got to say seeing myself in the mirror was half a shock as it was such a difference from my usual, messy hair and no makeup. It wasn’t overpowering but nice and natural, but you could still see a lovely difference. Once we are both done and our stylists are giving us a thumbs up, we hug Tia and Liz and wish them a lovely evening watching some movies.  Tia is staying overnight same as Allison as agreed with our parents. I grab my black Van’s and my denim jacket and we are on our way to the location Jack sent me via text. The Group was already there with a few others we didn’t recognise. They had built a campfire and had put big heavy logs around to sit on. As we walk closer, I realize “He” isn’t here. I grab Allison’s hand, she squeezes it.  “He might be running late, don’t worry” She tries to calm me down. Jack waves us over “Come over here I will introduce you to everyone” a chill runs down my spine. He grabs around my waist as he shouts “Look everyone, this is Allison and this one here is Summer” he gestured with his other hand up and down my body. I smile uncomfortably. He points at the little crowd. “This is Aiden and Jo. There we have Thomas, James and Rick … Oh and there is Rose and Silvia.” Rose walks up to him pulling him away. In a low but stern voice gritting her teeth she says, “you know he told you not to touch her and not to make a big deal out of it.” “Just having some fun here Rose before the big bad wolf comes, not like no one knows who she is anyway.” Jack snaps back. Allison pulls me to the side “Have you seen these Guys? They all look absolutely ripped and so handsome. Best Night of my life, honestly Summer, thank you for being my friend” she hugs me tight then takes my hand to join some of them at the fire. I sit there pretending I listen to Allison and the Guy called Rick but really, I feel devastated Damian isn’t here. Jo comes over trying to join in the conversation. I get up and walk towards the lake looking out, Watching the moon and the reflection on the water. Someone walks up to me from behind and clears his throat. I look around and it’s Damian. He smiles at me “Hey I am Damian, your Summer, right?”   Oh my god, it felt like the ground was pulled out from underneath me. My world turned upside down, cut into tiny little pieces and then glued back together in a different order, everything evolving around HIM. Only he mattered to me now. My knees turned to jelly. I think I hyped this moment up in my head so much. I didn’t think it would actually ever happen. I gasp as the scent fills my nose, I inhale it deeply before building up the courage to try and talk to him. “yes. Hi … nice to meet you” I say in half a whisper. He looks at my shaking hands, taking a step closer. “I been trying to meet you for a few days, but it never seemed the right time to talk to you” Damian holds his hand out. My heart skips a beat then starts racing, it feels as if it’s trying to break from me and the cage that is my body. Carefully, I place my hand in his as I look into his beautiful deep blue eyes. I hear the voice say “Finally” It can’t be him as his lips didn’t part. “Huh, did you hear something?” I ask. He pulls me closer and I can feel the heat radiating from him which offers comfort slowing my heart a bit down. I feel a fire growing inside of me. I look over to Allison who seems very content in the middle of the Group happily chatting.   “Want to go for a little walk?” Damian asks with a soft voice that sounds like music in my ears. “Please” I smile at him and it seems so easy to get lost in his eyes. We walk side by side just following the path around the lake as we get to a little hill. We sat down looking out on the Lake. From here we can see over the Lake and see the Group around the campfire. Allison obviously is enjoying herself as she is now hanging around Ricks neck. I chuckle to myself, thinking how happy I am for her. A little cough next to me brings me right back, looking at him. We start to chat as I try to get to know him a little. His favourite colour is Black, he loves nature as much as I do, he mostly hangs out with the Guys that are right now at the campfire.    He looks at me and I can feel little electro shocks causing through my veins. “You look beautiful tonight, Summer” he says while he moves closer to me. He is now so close that we are touching. He runs his hand down my arm and I melt under his touch. I can feel my cheeks getting hot and I turn slightly towards him. He put his hand on my cheek running his thump over my lips. It sends shivers down my spine and all over my body. I gasp. He pulls me closer and his lips are almost touching mine. He inhales deeply as our lips finally touch. It’s like nothing I have ever felt before and my heart starts pounding again. He looks deep into my eyes and whispers “you don’t know how long I have been waiting for this moment, From the day you moved into this little town, I knew you was special to me.” I don’t quite know what to say I know that I don’t want him to let go of me, not ever again. I want him and no one else. Never have I ever felt about anyone like I feel about him. He looks at me with a smile, I think he noticed I trailed off just staring at his eyes and his wild black hair. I run my fingers through his hair, and he shivers under my touch, running my hand down his neck and then down his arm to grab his hand. “I never felt anything like this before, I feel like I know you all my life. Never knew a connection like ours” I say in a whisper. He chuckles slightly, then looks over to the campfire “would you like to go back to the others?” he asks. “Not yet, I rather be here with you alone a bit longer” I quickly say back. Looking over at the Campfire I notice there are now a few tipi Tents built up, one big one and three smaller ones.  He wraps his arms around me pulling me close to him. He is so warm even though he only has a Shirt on, I lean my head on his shoulder and we stay like this for a while. I don’t want this to stop but he gets up, pulling me up with him in his strong arms. You would think he would struggle but no, he stood solid. “Allison is wondering where you are” he says.
