"Thank you for showing me the way," I added with a nod, pushing the unnecessary thoughts aside. Xavier frowned at me and nodded his head slowly before walking away. Shaking my head, I took a deep breath and knocked at the door.
"Come in," Mama's voice injected an instant warmth inside me and opening the door, I timidly walked inside. Her room was huge, done in cream and gold. There were flowers everywhere here too. Mama was sitting on the bed, reading and as she looked up a big smile found its way on her lips.
"Amara darling!" She exclaimed, opening her arms. "Come here. It's been ages since I saw you," I managed to lift my lips a little as I walked over to her and straight into her arms. Oh dear...she smelt so sweet. Like flowers. And so warm. Like a mother's embrace.
