"Wait!" Cameron put her hands up in the air, looking flustered as ever. Sweat slowly trailed from her forehead down her cheek. "I can explain Sir." But Father wordlessly put his backpack and camera on the counter before facing us. Well. Ladies and gentlemen, I think they both had forgotten about me and neither of them helped me to stand up. "Okay!" Father took a long deep breath. "Explain to me why you were on top of Elizabeth young lady." "Your daughter fell." Cameron shifted her weight on her feet and trying think what is the right words to tell my dad, on what really happened or else we were both dead. "So i tried catching her but.." "Father.." I mumbled, suppressing an exasperated sigh. "Cameron was only trying to help me." This time my father gave me his undivided attention and noticed that i was still on the cold floor with an injured knee. "I got in a minor accident at school." My loving father walked beside me with a concerned look. "You should have called us Lily. We will come to you whenever something happens." He scooped me under his arms and laid me carefully down on the couch. "Do you want to go to the hospital?" "The nurse told me that i only need to rest my knee and take some pain killer." I told him and noticed my Mother is not here yet. "Where is Mom?" "She is still outside Sweety and talking to her manager." Father replied and turned his attention back to the red headed girl who is standing awkwardly. "Thank you for helping my daughter." Cameron's beautiful face broke into a smile and completely forgotten the hostile approach from my father with her. "It's nothing Sir." "It means so much for me." Father said while folding his sleeves. No wonder why my Mother fell in love with him. He is very handsome. "We are new in this place." He swiftly tured around and walked in the kitchen. "Lily does not know anyone he-" There was a paused. "What happened to my kitchen!!" His voice erupted like a bomb explosion. Cameron immediately sat down and scooted next to me. "Oh gosh. Your father will kill me!" My distraught father rushed out from the kitchen. "Lily.." I really know how much he treasured every plate, utensils etc. "Was our house broken into by thieves ?" "No Dad," I pinched the bridge of my nose but then i felt Cameron's hand squeezed my thigh making me swallow something stuck behind my throat. "We cooked lunch because i was starving." Father crossed his arms, not believing my alibi. "Are you telling me the truth Elizabeth?" "What's happening?" Mother suddently appeared in the middle of the living room, carrying some paper bags which i believe is food. "Why are you shouting Honey?" "Sweet Jesus!" Cameron froze when she recognized my mother. "Are you Elena Anders-" The realization finally hit the red headed girl when she was about to say our lastname. "Wait." Her eyes went bigger than ever. "Is she your mother?" I could not help but laugh at her reaction. She is super cute. "Yes she is Mom." "Oh, Lily brought a friend." Mother said in a sing song voice. "Welcome to our house." "And you won't believe what i just saw!" Father complained. "My kitchen was a total disaster!" As if we committed a huge crime. "They murdered my pan and other tools!" My Mother's pressed her lips hard trying to suppress a smile nor laugh. "What did they cook?" Father take a good look on the steaks. "Well, a steak." Cameron breathed in deeply in anticipation. I honestly did not have any idea about cooking so it was my father who has the right to give a last verdict. "It looks good, juicy." Mother cleaned up the kitchen first before we ate together with Cameron. She already feels at home with my parents, they already talked about many things. "I'm really a fan of you Ms. Elena." Cameron told my mother. Her eyes were shimmering with so much praise and reverence. "I collected your cover magazine. Mother smiled really big. "Thank you so much." "Anyway. What is your name?" Father asked Cameron before putting a piece of steak inside his mouth. In fairness, she really cook very well. The read head beside me wiped her mouth. "I'm Cameron. Cameron Williams." I watched my Father's reaction. He almost choked but Mother immediately handed him a glass of water. "Oohh." He was clearing his throat and gave me an accusing stares. "So you are the infamous Cameron..." "Father.." I spoke through my clenched teeth with a blush on my face. Of course my parents could still remember our conversation about Cameron. "Yeah?" There is a confusion written all over Cameron's beautiful face. "We are happy to meet you Cameron." Father gave my guest a dazzling smile. I sighed in relief when he did not say anything more. "Thank you for helping my daughter," Mother thanked Cameron. Of course I explained everything what happened at school today. "If there is anything i could do for you just tell me." "Oh gosh. Can I have a your autograph and picture with you?" Cameron asked excitedly. "But of course!" The sky glowed with the beautiful orange and pink colors that the sun omitted . Trees were cascading their beautiful silhouettes making their paths be swallowed by darkness. "I enjoyed your parent's company," Cameron whispered while we were slowly walking outside towards her car. "They did too." I replied as i gazed up and saw those silvery lights starting to prickle in the dark. I wanted to tell her that this was the first time i saw my parents really happy with my friend. "I was honestly really suprised that Elena is your mother." There was a smile on her voice. "The world is really small." "Let us say, expect the unexpected." I supplied. "Ah Cameron..." Cameron looked over her shoulder. "Yeah?" "Thank you for standing up for me to Aerin." I replied. "For helping me out." We both stopped beside her car and faced each other. "It means so much to me." "No problem. I just can't sit and watch in the corner especially if there is something i can do about it." Cameron's red hair gently caressed it's way down her neck, reaching to just below her shoulder blades. "Yes, Aerin is my friend since the beginning of time but it does not mean i will tolerate her." "I thought she is your." She gave me an amused smiled. "My girlfriend?" A chuckled throat escaped her mouth. "Of course not but Aerin is what you called a best friend and ex girlfriend of my twin." "Ooohhh!" That is all i can say. Then we felt a drizzled. "You should go." Cameron nodded her head and opened the car's door. "Okay." She took a deep breath and sighed. "So? See you tomorrow at the party?" The idea about the party almost slipped out of my mind. I buried my hands inside my pockets and looked at the ground thoughtfully. "I'm not sure baout it Cameron." Grey invited me this morning but I don't think it is a good idea. "Please come." Cameron begged with the famous puppy eyes. "Remember I helped you!" I playfully rolled my eyes at her with a smile on my face. "You are playing with I help you and owed me card, don't you?" Cameron laughed softly and took a seat inside her car. "It depends how would you take it." She started the engine. "But whatever it is, I'm expecting you tomorrow night at my party. Bye Lizzie!" She closed the door and drove away. She gave me a clear message, what Cameron wants, Cameron gets. The whole day today i was really anxious. I do not know if I'm going to the birthday party of Cameron and Grey or not. I already told my parents about and they gave their permission but what holding me back was the thought of Aerin. I scrolled up and down on my social media account while talking to Leslie over chat. The both of us ended up in the idea of going. I just hope and pray not to encounter the Queen Bee there. "I think you should change your clothes." Mother said as her gaze scanned me from my head to my toes. "Drop those eyeglasses and long sweater Honey." "But mother..." "I want you to show them how beautiful you are without your disguise." There was a sound of disappointment in her voice. Mother stood up and brushed my bangs that fell on my face. "When will you stop pretending to be someone you are not?" "Maybe at the right time Mom." Mother just sighed and nodded at my in understanding. "Be careful okay, no drinking alcohol and don't bring any girl at home." My face grew hot. "Definitely not Mom." She kissed my forehead. "Very well Lily." Then we heard a horn outside. It is Leslie. She is picking me up since i don't know the places here. "Good luck Sweetie." I ran towards the door. "Enjoy!" "Thank you Mom!" I told Mom as i dashed out of the house and saw Leslie waving at me inside her car. There were a lot of stars scattered around the vast sky. I wondered what are the names of those stars. Maybe i should search it on google. "You look lovely!" Leslie said once i got inside her car. It smells brand new. "Seatbelt please." I did what she told me. Leslie is wearing jean short exposing her perfectly long legs, white halter neck and boots. She has a very good taste in fashion. "Do you think this is a good idea?" I was talking about going to the party. "I'm kinda nervous." Leslie slowly maniuver her car in the corner before answering. "Don't worry about Aerin." I saw her glances at me through the side mirror. "Grey and Cameron will be there to protect you." I know they will but I'm not planning to be a burden to anyone tonight. "Let's avoid Aerin in all possible ways." Leslie nodded her head. "So. What happened?" "Happened? Of what?" Leslie put more gas. "Cameron dropped you off yesterday." She was really persistent of asking me if something happened between Cameron and I. "Come on tell me." "Why would you think that something happened last night?" "I have a super power Lily." Of course Leslie was joking. "If you have a superpower why do you still ask me? You should know already if something happens or not?" I play along. "Shut up." Leslie said with a laugh. "Did you guys kiss?" I felt Leslie's eyes never left my blushed face. "Of course not!" But my reaction and voice simply gave the real answer. "It was an accident." "How so?" "Ah." I gingerly rubbed my hands on my thighs. "I fell." Leslie carefully stopped her care in front of enormous house. There were a lot cars outside and heaps of people scattered around. "Are you ready?" I took a long breath. "I don't know." We both laughed and excited her car. The sound of monstrous music pulsing against my eaes when we entered the house. "Oh gosh!" "Relax." Leslie whispered as she held my hand and ushered me to the table. "Let's eat first." "Girls!" Grey appeared beside us. "I was waiting for you!" He sounded drunk and looked tipsy. "Happy Birthday!" Leslie and I said in unison. "Thank you!" As he bow down. "Go eat and we are going to do a little dance later." "Which one do you like?" Leslie asked me while looking down at some kinda of tacos and buritos. "But I'm tired of them, so let's eat spaghetti and chicken lollipop." I could not help but laugh at my friend. She is too cute. She put a lot of food in our plates and we settled down in the graden. "Delicious." "Oh girls. Do you want any drinks? Wine? Or anything?" Grey asked. I shook my head immediately. "I'm okay with water." "Don't be a killjoy Lily!" Grey whined and tapped his fingers against the table. "Just this one." "Grey.." It was Leslie. "Don't force her to drink. It is not her thing." She took a tissue and held my face. "You have a." Leslie paused a little. "Stain." Then she gently wiped my lips. "Thank you." I said gratefully. I did not know Leslie is very caring. It was a sweet act though. I shifted my attention back to Grey. "I'm sorry but i don't drink." Grey sighed and nodded his head. "I'm sorry." "It's okay," I brushed it off. My eyes started to wonder around the William's house. "Where is Cameron?" Of course i wanted to greet her. Grey shrugged his shoulders casually. "I have no idea. Maybe with her friends." I chose not to say anything and continue eating this free food. Unfamiliar faces come and go in our table just to greet Grey who never leaves our side. But you know what is funny? Grey introduced Leslie and I to his friends. "Ah. Grey." I whispered to him. Grey looked at me expectantly. "Where is the restroom?" "Oh," He put the beer can on the table. "Inside, next to the kitchen." I felt Grey's hand on my wrist. "Do you want me to accompany you?" "No Grey," I protested. "I will go with you Lily," Leslie stood. "Wait for us here." Grey did not even say any single words but nodded his head. "Let's go." "You saved me!" I told Leslie with a nervous laugh. "It was uncomfortable." "I know right." I wondered how Leslie was feeling right now, or what does she thinks of me about Grey. Though she already knew that I'm lesbian and Grey had no any single chance to me but I know it's still hurts her. We made to the restroom safe and sound despite of the war outside. The living room looks like a battlefield. After doing my business and waited for Leslie to come out from her cubicle. I decided to go out and look for Cameron. "Watch your step!" A girl with thick make up snarled at me. I stepped aside and lowered my eyes. "I'm sorry." The girl did not say anything but glared hard at me before leaving. My heart leaped out when i saw a glimpse of Cameron leaning against the wall. She is a sight to behold with her red dress. I summoned all the power to approach her but i instantly froze when i saw Aerin smashed her lips to Cameron. The red headed girl did not move any finger in few second but kissed Aerin back with the same intensity. I thought they were only friends? Then why were they kissing? So, Cameron lied to me? Heck. I should not have made friends with her in the first place. She belongs to the popular group and definitely meant for Aerin.
