Jack and I walked into the room where the pool was with the key card the manager gave us. We set our towels down on a table. Jack dipped his foot in to see what the temperature of the water was.
He seemed satisfied, so he walked to the stairs and walked in. I watched as he walked down the stairs until he dived in, swimming around in the water.
He always liked the water, so I knew he would like the pool. I slipped in, swimming after him once I adjusted to the temperature. I caught his ankle as he swam underwater and I pulled him back.
I could tell that I scared him, so I let his foot go and broke the surface. He glared at me once he came up from underwater.
