The rain didn't stop any soon after the leave of Aron.
The icy grey sky restlessly grumbled more and more every few minutes, Griselda couldn't leave, she didn't want to get any colder than she is right now.
The rain poured down over the city with a roar and it frightened most of those breathing livings, the quality of darkness shifted in the sky but the rain kept pouring roughly for two hours or more.
It was 3 pm when the rain stopped, the sky was cleared from any cloud by the harsh wind, the warm sun peeked out at the city again, the soil that was baked so hard last summer is now soft with rainwater, the smell of it was heavenly to some people and one of them was Griselda.
Her hair was already dry and Ava's soft fur was shiny and completely dry too. The smile was again sketched on Griselda's face, she won't be able to find her way to her apartment easily because she didn't have any idea of the location of the coffee shop, so she has to get a taxi.
Taxies are a nightmare to her, she hated them with passion and she hated the idea of a car, cars are the hard metal that made her lose everything, every time she set's in a car panic attacks consume her, every time she set's in a car she can hear her brother's cries.
She sighed while trying to get close to the edge Sidewalk and she started waving and gesturing by her hand hoping that one of the disgusting taxi cars will stop for her.
About five minutes later, she can hear a gruff and rough voice calling her constantly " Hey, you, get in ".
She was hesitating about riding with the man, the yellow car disgusted her and she thanked God that she couldn't see it anymore.
She didn't have any choice, she wanted to go to the warmth of her home as soon as possible, so she started searching for the handle of the car door, she allowed Ava's to get in first while she folded her white walking cane then she got in.
The growl of the engine, a hiss of pneumatics, the smell of kerosene, the smell of gas, dripping black oil, shaking, reverberating, rattling, firing pistons, efficient hum, purr, she hated it.
" Where to? " His gruff voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
" Downtown " Griselda lived close to the down downtown of New York City.
She wanted to walk a little bit by her self, wanting to relax her mind a little bit more from the swirling thoughts that are crashing against her hard skull and the main reason was that she didn't trust anyone to give them her address, she's wary and careful.
The taxi car reeked of cigarettes and it starting to annoy her so much.
About fifteen minutes later the driver dropped her off, she gave him a bunch bills wanting to get off the car, Ava got out first, and her owner was fast behind her, Ava started to tug the leash and nudge Griselda, it seems that Ava knows the way, so Griselda let her take control, and they were off to their warm and cozy home.
Ava and Griselda were in front of the apartment complex and from there Griselda took back her control and started to swipe her white cane, so she wouldn't slam into the door.
After getting into the elevator, the elevator's buttons had some sort of oil on them which disgusted Griselda, she started to count the numbers of the levels until the fourth one then she pressed it, and moments later the elevator was halting her to her floor.
Griselda always had to trace her white cane over the neighbor's doors, so she could locate her apartment by counting. Opening the door by keys were hard on her so she orders someone to get her a touching lock which she can enter her apartment with her fingerprint.
The moment she got in her apartment she was engulfed by the warm air and the pleasant smell of musk, she loved how calm and lovely it smelled.
She unleashed Ava then she darted happily toward her small bed trying to get warmer, Griselda folded her cane and placed it in the basket with the black umbrella.
She walked her way to the bedroom, she took off her clothes and started preparing her bath, when the bathtub was filled with warm water she threw a calming lavender bath bomb into the warm water, she placed her chocolaty bare leg in the tub carefully so she won't slip, she spent about half an hour in the tub doing nothing.
Her thoughts were killing her slowly, it's the pain that's too much to cope with, too hard to deal with and so overwhelming, she can't escape it no matter how hard she tries, because it follows her around like a black shadow that's on the inside, eating her, The weight of everything seemed to press down on her shoulders and she struggled to take even a single breath.
It was too much. All of it.
The blue feeling washed in like an unwanted wave, knocking her unperfect sandcastles flat.
She stayed there, she stayed there in the bathtub hugging her knees to her chest tightly, she rocked back and forth hoping that those toxic and poisonous swirling thoughts will stop someday.
She struggled with a deep breath, she got up slowly and carefully, washed her body quickly and dried her bare dark skin then wrapped her self with the soft white towel. Getting into her room again, she picked a blue fancy silky pajama, she wore it and wrapped her hair in a messy and loose bun.
She finds her way to the kitchen, she got some lettuce, Hummus, mustard, turkey, cheese and cherry tomatoes and all of the items were perfectly labelled and arranged in her refrigerator.
She got the toast and got Ava's dog food and poured some into her bowl then placed it in front of her bed.
Griselda got back with fixing her sandwich and she ate it after toasting it a little bit.
She didn't have anything else to do, so she decided on reading a book she didn't finish earlier and it was written by braille alphabet.
The rest of her day was boring, she read, pet Ava's head and nothing else was done.
She went to sleep at 7 pm.

The stars in the sky were nonexistent, as between us arose puffs of grey. Those balls of cotton seen during the day shifted into streams of grey the color of ash and soot. They blanketed the sky of San Jose, hiding the full moon in its full glory behind them. But the moon fought, oh how it fought to shine its light on the earth. But the clouds stretched over the sky, giving it a hazy ominous feel.
" f**k off white " The young man cursed through his black cell phone while ruffling his blonde hair and pulling it back and away from his eyes.
" That f*****g old man needs help, it's not my f*****g fault " White sneered back at him while breathing deeply with anger and frustration.
" and the dumbass here keeps refusing " Vaughn didn't have the power to accept any mission at all because it all was in the hands of his boss.
" And the old man is f*****g determined and wouldn't let go of it " White sighed with frustration, the old man is irritating him, he wants to choke him with a pillow and get rid of him as soon as possible.
Vaughn sighed and leaned back in his office chair, " Look, I will talk to him and sort things out, but dude it's been a year"
" I know " White groaned loudly, " Just ask him please, I don't know why he's insisting".
" Just f**k off man, your squeaks annoyed me " Vaughn sneered with a silly grin, White didn't even say goodbye and hung up on him immediately.
" That fucker " frowned and groaned while smiling widely.
He got up from his comfortable chair and left his comfortable office while cracking his neck.
He headed to the private elevator that few people can get in with a card, the elevator is for the boss and the boss only, he didn't like anyone invading his privacy nor his comfortable fancy office.
Moaning with frustration, Vaughn got in the elevator, swiped his card and started heading to the upper floor.
The elevator that opened directly into his boss's private office, a huge room occupying most of the area of the enormous building with floor-to-ceiling windows giving views in two directions: Fifth Avenue to the east, Central Park just a few blocks north. The two remaining walls contained a fancy wooden door and beside some expensive oil painting by Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso and two vases that are nearly worth Vaughn salary, The other wall is bein occupied by bookshelves that are made by fancy wood by one of those famous designers that Vaughn didn't even know.
The black glass surface of his boss's desk was equally fancy and shiny as the other thing in the office, an apple computer was placed on it and another hp laptop alongside it, a huge stack of paper works neatly arranged is on the desk.
Boss wasn't behind that ridiculous fancy desk.
Vaughn is starting to get angry and frustrated.
" Jay? " he yelled through the huge office.
" In here " Jayvyn stood near the fancy bookshelves grinning like an i***t, Vaughn
scowled at him and yelled with frustration.
" Where were you? " Vaughn sighed while slumping back on one of the brown leather coaches that are extremely comfy.
" in there " Jayvyn pointed towards the shelves while smiling slightly.
That smile freaked Vaughn out.
" White called again, stop smiling it's creepy " Vaughn frowned.
" That disgusting old pig doesn't give up, does he? " The creepy smile was off of his face at the mention of the pig as he calls him.
" White is getting tired and f*****g annoyed that he wants to kill him " White patience is getting low.
" He knows that I stopped taking missions last year because the police were trailing my ass " Jayvyn sighed loudly while sitting beside his right-hand man.
" Just take the damn mission and get rid of him already" Vaughn looked at his boss who's eyes were close and the head is rested back.
" call him and tell him to meet us in thirty minutes at Piacere," Jayvyn said and started walking towards the huge shelves, he pulled a book out and the shelves moved softly, showing the home of Jayvyn.
" call Robert and tell him to bring my car in front in ten minutes "He finished and the shelves closed their selves behind him automatically.
Jayvyn's place is bland and out of life, the walls are all white, the living room is huge with some blue and beige couches, a fur rug was in the middle, few paintings were hung on the white wall, the kitchen is fancy it's all marbled with white wooden cabinets and shelves of wine and other alcoholic drinks were placed there, his room is in one of the corners of this huge house that is located on top of his building, his bedroom is painted by Prussian blue, his king-sized bed is against one of the walls of his bedroom, the bathroom is also marbled as his fancy kitchen, his walk-in closet is his favorite room, it's walls were painted beige and the shelves and hangers are all made by black expensive wood.
Jayvyn took a quick hot shower then got dressed in a white shirt and above denim jacket with light washed jeans.
Jayvyn got into his private elevator and swiped his card to the first floor of his building.
Robert was standing in front of his Matte Black Audi R8.
" You can go to your family Robert, I will drive tonight " Robert nodes while giving Jayvyn his keys and then he left.
" He's there with the f*****g old pig," Vaughn said to Jayvyn when he got in the driver seat.
" good " Jayvyn took off and got far away from his comfort zone to his favorite Italian restaurant.
Jayvyn parked away from the restaurant seeing that it's crowded and full to the brim, even if it's full no one can stop Jayvyn Lionel the billionaire from dining in his favorite restaurant.
The queue was long and some of the people were getting tired but in the end, they knew that the tiredness is worth it.
Jayvyn passed the queue with his right-hand man behind him, people were looking at him with anger and confusion.
" Sorry sir, but you have to wait with the others" A blond women stood there with her papers clip and her cheap looking pen.
" well, someone wants to get fired, right Vaughn? " Jayvyn declared with his deep voice.
" It seems that she wants to get fired " Vaughn sighed.
" Sir, the rul- " She was cut off by Jayvyn's angry growl.
" Your rules don't work on me " He glared at her.
" Lionel " Vaughn stated.
The blond women shook with fear when she saw the name Lionel at the top of her page listed as a very important person.
" this way " The women gestured by her hand, letting the get in.
" look for them, Vaughn, I'm sure that they are waiting outside " The women lead him to one of the private rooms.
she said and her head is facing the floor " The waiter will be with you soon ".
She hurried outside quickly.
Jayvyn got his black mask on and a regular black hat, he had to cover his face in front of his clients not wanting to risk his reputation and his life.
Soon later, Vaughn, white and the old pig are escorted by the same blond women and a waiter was behind them as well.
" Carter Collen is here with his hand right man White as they call him " Vaughn stated formally.
" what can I get for you'll? " The brown-haired waiter asked sat after they all sat down.
" get me the Diavola Pizza, Chianti, a can of beer and tiramisu after " Jayvyn gave him his regular order without even looking at the menu.
Carter was getting ready to order as well, " I will ge- "
Jayvyn interrupted him " Who says your ordering as well"
Vaughn snorted loudly.
White is trying to prevent his loud laugh from getting out of his mouth.
" That's it " Jayvyn dismissed the waiter.
" You've been annoying me this whole year Carter, what the f**k do you want you old pig " Jayvyn sneered at him and he flinched cowardly at his harsh voice.
" One last mission," Carter said whispering like the coward he is.
" you said that the last time," Jayvyn said through his black mask.
" well "
" get to it pig and let's finish already, I'm starving " Jayvyn snapped not wanting to hear any other stupid excuse.
The waiter came with Jayvyn's bottled beer, he popped it open and chugged some.
" So, what's the mission? " Jayvyn asked while placing the bottle in front of him on the table.
" I want to ruffle up this woman then end it with killing her? " Carter said simply with a smug stupid grin.
" Why? " He asked while taking another large gulp from his drink.
" You don't usually ask? " His stupid grin faded.
" Why? " he asked again.
" She was a prior detective, her parents who were also included in the police were killed by our men, she's after us, she's trying to find our location, last year we sent someone to get her an accident, her brother died but she went blind and she's still after us, so we want you to kill her," Carter said with a shrug.
" Are you in the mode Von? " Vaughn said and narrowed his as at Jayvyn when he saw the playful mode twinkling through his eyes.
" Very " Jayvyn replied with a grin under his black mask
" I want her information by tomorrow, you would be killing the mode if you didn't hand them, Vog, by tomorrow," He said simply with a light shrug.
A knock was heard and the waiter came in with Jayvyn's favorite food on this planet, the food is placed in front of him and the old pig was looking at the food hungrily.
" f**k off " Jayvyn snapped at Carter when he saw him eyeing his dear food hungrily.
Carter scurried off and he was out of the room in seconds, White was chuckling slightly and went after him after waving at them.
His mouth watered at the sight and smell of the Diavola Pizze, he got rid of his black mask and hat, rich with flavors, airy, crispy and perfect for him and him only, he inhaled his food and nothing was left on the plates, after that, the waiter came with the creamy delicious tiramisu, this part was Jayvyn's favorite and ideal part.
There is no sincere love than the love of food, he still falls for food more and more every day.
" You're such a pig, how can you even finish all of that in a blink of an eye " Vaughn looked at him with disbelief and wonder.
" you know and realize how little self-control I have in front of food " Jayvyn grinned as the i***t he is.
" No one would believe that you're a f*****g Hitman and a successful businessman, if they saw you in this state" Vaughn chuckled lightly while shaking his head at his food.
" Shut up man, let me cherish my relationship with food" Jayvyn glared at his right-hand man and assistant.
" let's go," Jayvyn said when he finished his heavenly tiramisu, he left without paying knowing that they will understand and put it on his tabs.
Getting in his car, he dropped Vaughn in front of his house and he took off to his comfort zone of a building.
Jayvyn loves anything related to the night, stars and moon.
He loves it when the moon attacks with his little warriors, bringing the darkness over the city.
Jayvyn got into his office and went through to get in his house.
Jayvyn got his sports attire on, he went to the lower level where his assistant office and his sports hall is located, it is filled with a variety of equipment to burn some calories.
Jayvyn was bored, his life is boring, the look on his face is boring, even his job as a hitman became boring with that disease that he has, acquired aplastic anemia is a rare but the f*****g disease decided to choose him, losing blood more than he had already lost is a major problem to him, his job as a hitman was stopped for a year after the incident of nearly bleeding to death.
Headaches and nausea don't leave him at all.
His life was bad and lifeless.
His life is still bad and lifeless.
His life is a mess.
Nothing is there to shine over his life.
Nothing is there to light up the black room in the corner of his heart.
Hope is his worst enemy.
Hope always strays away from him.
He's burning to ashes in the inside.
Sweat is rolling off from his forehead, he panted harshly, tired and weak.
Sweat wasn't the only thing that broke down from his body, tears declared their presence on his flushed and hot checks too.
He still rises.
