Chapter 21
Hunter’s pov
I came home expecting to see my girl waiting for me, but she wasn’t there. Maybe she had to work. She was the chef in her family’s restaurant so maybe someone called in, and she had to take over.
I decided to take a shower then I would call her. I couldn’t wait to tell her I wouldn’t be leaving her again. I was home to stay. I was no longer going to hide her. I pulled the ring I bought her out of my pocket and placed it on my dresser.
It was time the whole world knew she was my girl. I hated hiding us from everyone. Hell, her parents thought I was just a guy that their restaurant catered to sometimes. I felt like hell for all the secrets. I just wanted to protect her. I didn’t want to lose her. If someone said something that hurt, her it would destroy me.
