Marcus’ pov
I was excited to see Maddie tonight. Jaylah couldn’t stop talking about her. I didn’t give Jaylah a nap in hopes she would crash early tonight so that Maddie and I could be alone.
I have thought a lot about moving on, and I think it’s time. I want to be with a wonderful woman like Maddie. I know she would cherish Jaylah as well as myself. I decided to make my home made Cavatelli which was Jaylah’s favorite. I wanted to show Maddie I was a good cook. I wanted to showcase all my qualities.
I know that she is single because as long as I have known her, I have never seen her with anyone. I wondered what her type was. I was deep in thought on whether I was her type or not when the doorbell went off.
