Chapter 36

Sabrina’s P.O.V

  I had been standing here for a few days now, with my arms by my side, waiting for their return. As soon as Hope, Rick, a young werecat and a few others came into view I breathed a sigh of relief because I didn't think they were ever going to return. I had secretly crossed the border of the territory before, but I didn't dare cross it this time, especially seeing as Hope wasn't here when I got here and also because I didn't want Roman to find me in their territory or he would start a war. Hope came running towards me, clearly disturbed by my presence here.

  “Are you okay? What are you doing here?” Hope asked, worried.

  “I’m sorry my Queen, but I had to escape. Roman took me out of the cells, saying that he was going to put me in a new room, but it had some kind of spell on it. As soon as I would have gone inside that room I would have been trapped and it would have weakened me. I wouldn't have been able to come here to you and do my duty in protecting you, so I escaped. I was told to come here and wait until you came back. I’ve been here for a few days now, so I am glad that you have now returned.” I replied, grateful for her return and hopefully easing her worry.

  “Sabrina, I hope you don't mind me asking, but where are your people? Are they still around? Are they in hiding because if they are then tell them to come here. They will be safe here, we can build land for them and put a tight fence around it, so that no one will ever harm you or your family.” Hope said, surprising me with her kindness.

  “Thank you, but there is no need for that, you see my family live here. You have to really look for us, but they know I’m here and they are safe, but if you want to meet my family then I would be highly honoured.” I replied and Hope smiled brightly at me. I had to laugh when she started looking around, but I don't think she completely grasped that she wouldn't find us out in the open and that we were not easy to spot.

  “No Sabrina, I would be honoured if I get to meet them. Come on, you must be extremely hungry. I’ll give you a room, so you can shower and rest.” Hope said and I nodded. I followed Hope and the others through the territory and everyone stopped to look at me, their jaws dropping. I was used to this, but Hope seemed bothered by it and stopped in her tracks to address it.

  “My family, this is Sabrina. Yes, she is an elf and she is here to keep us all safe, so we will keep her safe too. Please treat her like she is one of us because she is, now carry on.” Hope announced and when she said that everyone nodded, understanding. They all smiled at me and a young pup even came running up to me, tugging at the bottom of my dress. I giggled as I looked down at the young pup and picked him up.

  “My aren't you a little cutie and what is your name, little one?” I asked and the pup giggled. 

  “My name is Cobie, it's nice to meet you, miss Sabrina elf.” Cobie replied, making me smile from ear to eye and my eyes light up. He was so innocent that he must have thought that my last name was elf and not that I was an elf.

  “Well, it's very nice to meet you too, sweetheart.” I said, placing him back down. I watched as he ran off towards his mother, who was also smiling at me.

  Hope’s P.O.V

  I was annoyed with how everyone stared at Sabrina when they first saw her and all because she was different, but as soon as I made that announcement they accepted her straight away. She looked so happy when that young pup hugged her. I showed Sabrina to her room and then showed our other new addition, Misty to her room as well.  Rick came up and stood next to me, taking my hand in his and kissing the back of it.

  “It seems our pack is getting bigger.” Rick said and I nodded.

  “I think so too. Can you imagine, we have werewolves, werecats and now an elf here. They all need to know that they are safe here and that we can protect them.” I replied, walking hand in hand with Rick back to our room.

  “Yes they do, but come on, we need to shower and get some rest. It's been a busy few days and I need a shower.” Rick said, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I laughed and smacked his arm, knowing exactly what he was suggesting.

  “Come on, we can do that after we rest.” I replied and he pouted, but chuckled.

  “Oh alright then.” Rick said, making both of us laugh as we walked into our room.

  Alpha Roman Black’s P.O.V

  I finally figured out where she is, but I still need proof. The Alpha rogue was right, but I didn't trust him one hundred percent, he had betrayed his own kind before after all. I still can't believe that my own cousin betrayed me and lied to me. He knew exactly where she was all this time and instead of telling me he left and warned her, tricking me in the process. I thought he had died, but he lied about that too and he is still alive, he tricked me and is now living in that pack with her.

  “I found her. I found Hope, but I don't have any proof. Come to my office.” I said, mind-linking my sister Shelly. 

  “What?! You found her, now what? Where is she? When did you find her? You know she's not going to come back here willingly.” Shelly said, bursting into my office a few minutes after I had mind-linked her.

  “It is just like the Alpha rogue said when he called me, she is there in his pack. I know Shelly, but if we go there, challenge the Alpha and win, then she will have no choice but to come with me. She will have no choice but to be mine.” I replied, but she shook her head.

  “Listen, just trust me, we can do this. I know we can.” I said, sighing and trying to convince her.

  “Fine, but if you lose then I will take over this pack. Is that clear?” Shelly asked and I nodded. A woman, in charge of my pack, like hell I would ever accept that, but there was no way I could lose, so I don't mind accepting.

  “I highly doubt I will lose, but you have a deal.” I replied, smugly smiling at her. I watched as she rolled her eyes once more and then just walked out of my office. I need to beat this Alpha, failure is not an option because if I do fail then my sister will take over my pack and hell would freeze over before I let that happen.
