Chapter Four

Manik couldn't register the fact that she was crying incoherently. He knew somewhere that he did wrong. Infact very wrong. But dude! She hurt his ego? Manik Malhotra's EGO? It costs more than her tears, maybe.

He followed her to the ground and witnessed her madly collecting every piece of glass. Every piece. She shrieked in pain as a glass touched her mild skin but she was strong enough to get pierced by a mere glass. He widened his eyes as he saw her hopelessly crying, mindlessly stumbling over every broken piece.

He laid his eyes at the surroundings to find his friends standing there, giving him glares. Some were laughing to see their crush winning the battle. Some boys felt bad eyeing their new found crush, crying.

He, for the first time realised how wrong he was. How brutal he was. He just broke the girl he wanted, and he wanted, atleast his mind wanted to laugh devilishly. But he couldn't. His heart couldn't. His heart literally broke eyeing the strongest girl, he thought, helplessly finding every bit.

He walked nearer to her she stood up and poured all the broken pieces in her side bag. He muttered "So-" And that was it. BOOM!

He was punched. He was punched by a human. By a girl. He looked at her with widened eyes. His lips had blood. He looked at her dilapidated state.

"What do you even think of yourself?" Her eyes were mashed with the kohl. Her lips were trembling as she roared like a lioness.

"Why are you this heartless?" She shouted slapping him again. His eyes had a tinch of water, mixed with guilt.

"What wrong did I do to you, you imbecile? You bullied a boy out of your choice..And just because I raised my voice against it." His head was hung low.

"You broke the last gift of my dead parents!!" And that was it. All eyes on her,so were his eyes.Widened like a cave. Tears, with guilt.

"You are not the almighty!! Get this thing in your head, you monster!! Just because you own a lot more than me, doesn't mean you own me, get that??" She roared and pushed him.

"I am not scared of you!!?! Huh!! MANIK MALHOTRA!" She was crying incoherently but her words were like fire. She pushed him hardly and he just stumbled, but couldn't react.

"I HATE YOU MANIK MALHOTRA! Did you hear that?? I HATE YOU! You will be off your ego on day..And I hope to see you like that!" She roared and went out of the campus while Navya and Alya followed her.

Manik couldn't react because he didn't know how to. He was the most broken out there. He just broke himself down, in place of breaking her. He pushed Cabir and Dhruv who had came out to shout at him and got into his car and drove away as far as he could. To get off the brutal mask off his f ace.
