Riley - POV
Blinking my eyes at the sun's light, and I realized I'd fallen asleep too late. I looked at the wall clock and saw it was already 9:00 a.m., which was a bummer since I was scheduled to train with Alpha at 6:00 a.m. and report to work at 8:00 a.m.
What a great start. It must irritate Alpha with me for not showing up on time, and he will have plenty of reasons to growl all day. I got out of bed to shower. I felt revitalized after a nighttime slumber. Something caught my attention, and now I see a note lying on the nightstand.
"In the morning, I'll be waiting for a kiss from you." That night's chat with Ryker came flooding back as I held the note. And I felt embarrassed by how I behaved towards him.
