"Riley," a voice called. Carol had already leaped through the portal. I turned around to see Zac still standing there. The portal shut behind me.
"Zac, what's wrong?" First, he surveyed the area. I followed his gaze as well, but nothing suspicious in the vicinity.
"Your subject is Alpha Tyler." In response to his query, I nodded and raised my eyebrows. "I'm simply concerned about you."
"Why is that, Zac?" I saw an expression in Zac's eyes that I couldn't put my finger on.
"Nothing, just forget what I said." Zac strode away from me without telling me anything.
