Riley - POV
Earlier, Carol told me that Nick had invited me to tonight's meeting. There may have been an urgency for Nick to call us, and I somehow got permission for Alpha Tyler to travel with Carol to the southern territories. As we make our way to the portal, Carol seems to keep herself together, and the gateway eventually spats us out. I felt dizzy from the teleportation magic. Carol caught me to prevent me from falling to the ground.
"You're not used to this teleportation," Carol inquired. I nodded and took several long breaths to center myself. "Since you never remained on the island,you are not used to teleportation. It is no wonder that you spent so much time among human beings."
