Chapter 1: I Finally Find You

Didi, I have something to do later, I will be leaving soon.
The innocent girl lying on the hospital bed looks up at her sister.
Sister, when will you be coming back?
Selene smiled and touched her sister's hair, I may come back late tonight, I have already prepared food for you, I placed it inside the cupboard, when you are hungry you can eat it. Don't wait for me, sleep early.
Her younger sister Didi nodded at her senior sister and closed her eyes to rest.
Selene sat beside her thinking about something, when she made sure that Didi had fallen asleep. She picked up her bag and left the hospital.
In Lugard estate, a sound of knocking echoed in Lugard's room.
"Come in," Lugard's cold voice echoed.
The butler entered, bowed down, and greeted Lugard with respect.
Lugard was tying his tie and did not turn his gaze to look at the butler.
"Young master, the old lady is downstairs. She said she wants to see you," the butler said.
Lugard paused and frowned, asking, "Why is she here this morning?" "I don't know.
You will find out when you meet her," the butler replied.
Lugard nodded, "You may leave," and the butler bowed before leaving.
Lugard's face turned cold. After finishing, he picked a file from his drawer and headed downstairs.
The old lady was sitting on the sofa with a wine glass next to her.
When she heard the sound of footsteps coming from upstairs, she looked up and saw her son coming down.
She smiled and said, "Son, how have you been?" She stood up to touch her son, but Lugard stepped back.
"What are you doing here?" Lugard asked coldly.
The old lady frowned and angrily looked at Lugard, saying, "Is this how I teach you to respect your elders? Is this how you respect your mother?"
"I said, why do you come here?" Lugard said coldly, still standing in place.
The old lady calmed down and said, "Lulu, you know mummy is not getting young anymore. I want you to get married and give me grandchildren."
Lugard laughed coldly and said, "You now want grandchildren when you were chasing Hazel away before. Have you ever thought of grandchildren?"
The old lady's face changed at the mention of Hazel's name. "Yes, I scared her away because I don't like her. She's not a good person," she said.
Lugard looked at his mother who had no remorse for what she did in the past coldly. "Let me tell you this once and for all. I am not getting married, and since you have already chased away the girl I love, don't try finding one for me again because they will all end up being rejected by me."
After saying these words, he turned around and left the estate.
The old lady was still sitting on the sofa, anger emitting from her body. She picked up the wine glass and shattered it into pieces.
The maids looked at her in fear and shifted back.
"I will never accept Hazel to step foot into the Philip family, not now, not ever," she said through gritted teeth and tight fist.
After thinking for a while, she stood up, grabbed her bag, and left angrily with her bodyguard.
At the company.
Lugard's car drove into his parking lot, when he came out of the car his secretary came and greeted him and they both entered the company directly.
In the public parking lot, a girl was sitting on top of a car, looking at Lugard as he entered the company with a smile on her beautiful lips.
"I finally found you. We will meet sooner or later," she murmured.
"Hey miss, you are sitting in my car," someone said from behind.
Selene snapped out of her thoughts and looked at her side to see who was talking.
"Oh, sorry, I was just resting in your car. I am so sorry," she said as she climbed down the car and bowed down, apologizing.
"Why are you saying sorry? You were just sitting in my car. You didn't destroy it. No need to apologize," the guy said, waving his hand with a smile.
Selene raised her head, smiled, and was shocked by the guy's handsomeness and carefree attitude.
He was also surprised by her beautiful and innocent appearance, his eyes widened in amazement.
"Beautiful, very beautiful," he said in his mind.
After a brief talk, Selene looked at the big company in front of her before turning around and leaving.
The guy watched her beautiful figure leave and felt bad. He had never felt interested in anyone, but he just liked this girl.
He entered his car and drove towards her.
"Hello, you can come in. Let me give you a ride," he said.
Selene stopped in her tracks, smiled, and declined politely.
"Sorry, I don't want to trouble you. I can go back myself. Thanks."
The guy was surprised; this was the first time someone had declined his invitation.
Selene hailed a car and left directly. The guy also drove away.
"Why did she stop in the parking lot and leave without doing anything? Why did she come to the BB group company?" the guy asked himself while driving away with a furrowed brow.
After Selene left the company, a girl dressed seductively walked into the company. The receptionist didn't stop her from entering the top floor of Alevaitor because they all knew her as Lugard's fiancée.
She walked arrogantly into the Alevaitor without answering any of the workers' greetings. She didn't even glance at any of them, thinking to herself, "Hmm, a bunch of poor things," she snorted, "we are not on the same level."
In Lugard's office, he sat at his desk, poring over the latest financial report with a furrowed brow. The quiet hum of the office filled the room, the only sound breaking the silence.
Suddenly, the office door swung open and the girl entered, her hips swaying seductively as she approached Lugard's desk. Her long flowing hair cascaded down her back, framing her delicate features with an air of confidence.
