On the highway, Jonathan was busy driving, staring across the road, when his phone rang. "Ring Ring," He looked down at the phone to see who the caller was. "Why is this guy calling me this time? Is there something wrong?" Jonathan murmured with a smile. He picked up the phone, placed it between his ear and his shoulder, and bent his head to hear what the caller was saying while driving on the road. "Hello, what's up bro? Did you need this pretty boy for anything?" Jonathan asked, smiling. "What is the time?" Zen asks Huh, Jonathan found in confusion, "Zen, what do you mean by 'what's the time'?" he asked in confusion. Because he knew that Zen couldn't just call him and ask what the time was. As a rich man, he was wearing a wristwatch, he had his phone, and even people around him. So the question didn't make sense. Zen was in his office, playing with a pen in his hand, looking at the computer and files in front of him, with his assistant standing behind him with a panic written on his face. "What's the time now?" Zen asked again. Jonathan was confused. He checked his wristwatch and said, "It's 5:22 pm." "Lugard Butler just called me now. He has been trying your line but is not getting through," Zen said. Jonathan frowned in worry, "Yes, my phone was switched off. I just turned it on before I entered my car. Why is the butler calling? Did anything happen to Lugard? Is he in trouble?" Jonathan asked worriedly. He ran into a red light and stopped the car. "He said that Lu hadn't eaten anything since morning," Zen said with a frown. "What? Why?" Jonathan asked. "I don't know," Zen said. "The butler said that he refused to eat anything. His stomach problem had also started and he did not want to drink his medicine." "What type of problem is this, starving himself? Hey, I will go check on him right now to know if I can do anything to make him eat." After saying this, Jonathan hung up the phone. When the red light turned off, he increased his speed and rushed towards Lugard estate in a flash. Zen's assistant looks at Zen. "But are we still living?" "No need, Jonathan is already on his way to his house. I'm sure he can convince him. We will go over it later," Zen said and continued reading the file he was holding. "Ok, boss," the assistant bowed. "You may leave," Zen said without raising his head from the file. In lugard's estate, Jonathan drove in, and the butler came out and greeted him in a hurry and panicked, trembling body. "How is Lugard doing? Has he taken his medicine yet?" Jonathan asked seriously, with no more sign of his playful personality. The butler shook his head. "No, young master, he hasn't taken anything today, not even his medicine or water." "Not even water?" Jonathan's face turned ugly. He rushes into the mansion, climbing the stairs and walking towards Lugard's room. In Lugard's room, he stood on the balcony, holding a beautiful shining necklace, and looking at the street lights and busy streets filled with people and activities. Knock, knock, knock A knocking sound came from his room door before the door was pushed open from outside. "Hey Lug," called Jonathan, using Lugard's nickname. Lugard turned his gaze from the bustling streets to Jonathan and asked, "What's up?" Walking towards the chair on the balcony, he sat down elegantly, resembling a king. Jonathan looked at Lugard with his deep blue eyes and said, "Why are you doing this to yourself again? Is it because of Hazel? Did she use a charm on you? She left you and followed the richest man without caring about you. It's been two years, and you're still suffering. Did your love for her make you blind or something?" Jonathan asked angrily. Lugard didn't answer any of the questions, instead, he sat calmly, looking at the pink heart necklace on his palm with dim eyes. Growing even angrier, Jonathan thought to himself, "If I were stronger than you, Lugard, I would have given you a piece of my mind." "Lugard, answer me," Jonathan called out, but Lugard kept staring at the necklace that Jonathan hadn't noticed in his angry state. Jonathan followed Lugard's gaze and saw a beautiful heart-shaped necklace lying on Lugard's palm. "This heritage heart necklace is a breathtakingly beautiful piece, a true masterpiece," Jonathan thought to himself. The heart-shaped pendant was crafted from the finest silver and expertly shaped to resemble a delicate, beating heart. The surface was adorned with intricate engravings, depicting delicate vines and flowers, giving it a mesmerizing glow. "Why are you staring at this beautiful pendant? Who does it belong to?" Jonathan asked, looking at the glittering blue pendant, which brought calm and peace to people's hearts. Lugard smiled slyly and said, "Do you think I'm thinking of her? You're mistaken. She left me for a rich man, and after our breakup, I moved on. She's a bygone. I've forgotten about her in the past two years since she left on her own," Lugard said calmly, looking at the sky with his deep voice. Confused, Jonathan furrowed his brows and said, "I don't understand what you're talking about, Lugard. Back then, you nearly destroyed your father's mansion. How can you say you moved on while you keep having sleepless nights and punishing yourself?" "I never think of her. You guys are the ones always saying that I'm thinking about her. The day she broke up with me and walked out is the day she also walked out of my heart. She's a bygone to me," Lugard said coldly and heartlessly. "Then why are you punishing yourself? I remember when you said you lost your first love. Isn't Hazel your first love?" Jonathan asked curiously to understand what made Lugard act this way. "She's not my first love at all," Lugard answered calmly. Jonathan's eyes widened. "If she's not, then who is, and why didn't we know about her?" Jonathan asked. Lugard looked at the necklace in his hand, and raising it, he said, "The owner of this pendant..." Jonathan was puzzled. "Who is the owner of this beautiful necklace?" he asked curiously. "I can't find her," Lugard answered with a cold and serious expression. Jonathan became even more confused. "What do you mean? Is she dead or something?" "I don't know. I don't think she's dead but I can't find her," Lugard said in a low voice, looking at the pendant as if he had lost something precious. Jonathan was completely bewildered. "Can you stop speaking in riddles? Can you tell me who she is and how she went missing?" Lugard stood up and walked towards the railing, staring at the dark clouds. His eyes turned a slit red, his black eyes fixed on the dark clouds, as he opened his mouth and spoke. "She's the girl I saved six years ago. Her name is Layla." Lugard's eyes cast downward as he recounted the story to Jonathan. His voice was barely above a whisper, his expression a mix of sadness, regret, and longing, etched on his face.
