Alpha Derrick’s POV

I look into her eyes when she says she wants revenge. Her face looks like her father's when he was angry, but the fire behind her eyes is her mother’s.

“Anna, I understand how you feel, but with the information you have provided and other evidence I have, I plan to take down Dark Hollow” I tell her

“I don’t plan to interfere with your plans, Uncle Derrick, and if I understood everything the council needs to go too. But Clarence, Vance, Blake, Lance and Ben; their lives are mine. They took my parents and destroyed me physically and emotionally. I must be the one to kill them. In the end, we will be working together” I say

“There’s no talking to you out of this, is there?” Grandpa asks

“No sir, I need this” I respond

“Then you will have your revenge, baby girl. We will do whatever we need to help you” Grandma says

“Mom, I don’t think this is a good idea” I say

“It’s not about what you think, Derrick. This girl needs to do this to heal from everything. Those men deserve to die. What difference does it make if it’s by your hand, the council, the King or our Little Avenger here” Grandma says

“You could get hurt, Anna” Thane says

“They have already hurt me, Thane. There is nothing they could do to me that is worse than what they have already done. I know everyone is worried about me, but I am going to be so well-trained, they won’t be able to hurt me. I am going to do this, with or without you. I would just prefer to have your support”

“You have our support little one” my grandparents say, joining hands and smiling at me

“Mine too” Auntie Opal says

“I’ll help, however you need me” Tara says

“I got you when you get to Full Moon, little cousin” Teresa says

“I can’t get you into elite training, you have to pass the test, but if you make it, we will make you into the avenger you need to be” Xander says

“Uncle Derrick? Thane? I really want your support on this”

“It won’t be easy. We will push you hard” Thane says

“I expect nothing less” I say looking at them

“Welcome to the team, little one. We are going to make the men of The Dark Hollow pack wish they never met the Royals” I say

My statement is followed by cheers and howls. I see the determination in her face. She has Marcia’s fight with David’s tenacity. A deadly combination. I feel sorry for anyone who messes with her.

Thane’s POV

We wrap up dinner and go to bed. I think about what Anna is asking, and I fear for her a bit. The training will be like nothing she has done before. Most people start training at ten years old in our pack. She has had no training, so she will be six years behind. It will be like an accelerated training program. We will probably discuss the details more in the morning. I am standing at the window in our bedroom, just wrapping up the day's events in my mind, when a slim pair of arms wrap around my waist

“What are you thinking about?”

“Just thinking about the day. All the stuff that was discussed during dinner. Anna’s quest for revenge. You know the normal” I say laughing

“Do you think what she is asking is unreasonable?” Tessa asks

“No and I understand why she needs this, but I am worried about her. She is attempting to obtain the level of training that took those elite warriors years to obtain. This will be hard, and I’m not sure if she realizes how hard” I reply

“She knows more than you think she does, but she also knows how important this is. She needs this for herself. I just think about what was done to me and I want to kill those men. What happened to her and Lucia was so much worse” she says

“Do you need revenge against those men also?”

“No, I have had my therapy to deal with what happened. And I have you” she says

“Me?”

“Oh, yes, you! Having a man who loves me, supports me and understands makes a big difference. When you are assaulted, you fear that this is the only way people will ever see you. You will forever be the girl who was sexually assaulted. But you see me; not what happened to be but the person I am. You love me not in spite of what happened. You love me just because I am me. The abuse is not an issue for you either way. This was very helpful in getting past what happened”

“I wish Anna had a mate who would help her get past everything. I don’t think Vick is that person” I state

“I don’t think so either. I know you were supposed to call him when she woke up, but I think we should wait until she has the baby.

If he chooses to reject her, we don’t want the pain from the rejection to hurt the baby or put her into labor” Tessa suggests

“Agreed, I’ll talk to her in the morning. Look at you showing me your Luna skills” he says smiling
