Chapter 21

Alpha Derrick’s POV

Anna came home today and has been in her room with Opal. They are going through her clothes and buying what she needs for her room and school. I have spoken to the principal of our school, and we can’t get her records from Dark Hollow without them knowing where she is, so we will test her in each subject. Anna says she was ahead in her classes and already had enough credits to graduate. We are going to give her an equivalency exam. If she passes it, then they will give her a high school diploma. She hasn’t decided about college yet. I guess when we meet this evening we will talk about those things. We are going to have dinner in the private dining room, just family and the ranked members. I want her to get to know us. I want her to be able to rely on us. We are her family. My brother was killed by his Beta. I keep getting the feeling that he suspected something but didn’t talk to me about it. I continue to question why he didn’t come to me. I guess I will never find out, but I don’t want Anna to feel that way ever. Tonight is going to be stressful for everyone.

Anna’s POV

We are all having dinner in the dining room. It’s a very relaxed environment. I get to meet everyone and learn about them. Even my cousin Terri and her mate Xander came tonight. They are the Alpha and Luna at Full Moon, the largest pack in the US. I am so proud of my family. We have affiliation to the three largest packs in the US. We are talking about Thane’s alpha ceremony. Tessa will be having her Luna ceremony at the same time

“Tessa? How did you and Thane meet?” I question

“Uhm….Uhm… We met here, in the pack” she answers hesitantly.

“Are you from Crystal Lake?” I ask

“No” she says looking at everyone but me

“Does your introduction to my cousin have something to do with Dark Hollow?”

She shakes her head and everyone looks away

“Okay, there is no way to avoid this conversation. So I will start”

I hesitate and get my courage up and words set to begin the most awkward conversation ever

“As you all know, Dad was betrayed by Clarence, his Beta, but so was Mom. When I saw them in my dream, they said Clarence was the reason for both of their deaths. He wanted to be an alpha and that was the plan until mom met Dad. They preferred dad since he was an alpha’s son, and Clarence was a beta’s son. He harbored this jealousy the whole time. He hired rogues to help him attack the pack. We were in the office when Dad put me through the secret door that led to the tree with the phone. I fell as I was running because I felt the bond with Dad break. Then I woke up in the Dark Hollow pack hospital. I overheard Clarence and Vance congratulating each other on their new positions. They also had gathered the whole pack and said they would kill anyone that was faithful to my father and would not conform. I faked sleeping for a week and when I woke up I was told I was nobody and my duties were to cook, clean and go to school. This was to repay the pack for all the money it spent on me. The Doctor mentioned that I may never remember what happened due to my head injury and I may also suffer from shock from losing both my parents. So I decided to fake amnesia and shock, I never spoke from that day forward. About six months after the take-over, is when the abuse started. I guess he didn’t have access to all of Dad’s money and was on the verge of depleting the known pack account that he had access to. Dad had his business dealing set up so they would never go to the pack account. He would have to transfer money from the other accounts but he didn’t have access to them. When I told him I did not know about the other accounts or how dad handled the pack finances, they tied me to a device in the cells and whipped me. That’s when the abuse really started. Before that it was, calling me names, tripping me, not feeding me, making me do all the chores, stuff like that. Now I had all that stuff plus they would whip or beat me whenever they felt like it. They stopped asking me about the money after a few months though. I don’t know what they did for money but the pack is surviving. All the money goes to the ranked members though. The give the pack the bare minimum for necessities only. The fact that the pack is only about 250 members is also an issue. We used to be three times that. This was my life for six years. I had planned to leave when I got my wolf at 18 but you know what happened there”

I stopped to take a break and go through the hard part of this story

“Did you know that Blake, Clarence’s son and I have the same birthdate, but he is two years older than me. I started out my birthday with feeling good about myself. I was beat up, tripped, slapped and got a sprained ankle all during school that day. I was accused of cheating. And I fell asleep in class, the teacher called Alpha, so I had to go to Alpha’s office after school for punishment. I was late getting to his office because I was attacked in the bathroom and knocked out. He felt I was being disrespectful by being late, so he ordered me whipped ten times with a studded whip. He told Vance if I gave him trouble he could use the silver whip. Vance tied me to the torture X, at least that’s what I call it and ripped off my clothes. I guess he likes the way I have filled out since I’m now sixteen, he suspended me from the ceiling, and before he whipped me; he sucked on my breast, spanked me, finger f****d me and jerked off, shooting his seed all over my body. “When I was able to stand, I went to my room and Blake, Lance and Ben were waiting for me. They tied me to my bed, and they beat me and raped me. Lance and Ben went in my butt because Blake said the other hole was for him only. So, this little one is his baby. He promised me that he would come back every day because he liked it so much. Ruby came to me that day, she helped me heal enough to run and that’s when we made it to the tree.”

“Thane, Brian, I had a backpack with me when you found me. There’s important stuff in there” I exclaim

“It’s probably still in the truck. I’ll go get it” Brian says and leaves

“So that’s my story. I know I was bad when I got here but I would like to know what they did to me Dr Robert” I ask

“When Thane bought you in, you were bleeding a lot. You had two cracked ribs and one had punctured your lung causing blood to collect around the lung, making it hard for the lung to work, so you couldn’t breath. There was some internal bleeding from repeated hits to her abdomen. We had to remove part of your spleen and your liver was damaged, but that healed with time after the surgery. You had a busted orbital socket and a black eye. You had both vaginal and anal tearing. I had to perform surgery to repair both areas. She is also having a lot of vaginal bleeding so I must find the cause of it and repair that. There was some injury to your neck and vocal cords”

“Blake said I was his birthday present, so he could do whatever he wanted to me. He said he convinced his father not to sell me, and I was his”

“With that comment, I think it’s time Tessa told her story” Uncle Derrick said
