“Just give my card to Kara and stop wasting my time. I don't care about your excuses.” Veles glares his displeasure at the waitress and Vannessa kind of feels sorry for the girl.
“Don’t take this as a critique, boss, but you could have said it nicer.” Vannessa murmurs.
“Haven’t you picked up my reputation yet? I’m not nice. I want efficiency.” Veles answers her without looking her way.
“I think you’re getting it.” Vannessa smiles as the waitress returns.
“Kara will see you in the office. Just go down the hall.” The girl smiles and leaves the door open for them.
Kara seems stressed when they see her. And there is a profound feeling of sadness and displeasure around the wolf shifter. Nonetheless, she is gorgeous and Vannessa envies her supermodel figure.
