Chapter Eight 'End' seemed to have shut down for the night. Alexa crept through the silent, darkened town heading north. Once she was far enough into the woods that she couldn't be seen from the town, she turned east. It wasn't easy picking her way through the trees in the dark, but she went slowly and carefully until her eyes had completely adjusted.
