Inazuke looks even more confused than he looked before and thinks
"He fought harder for a bowl of spaghetti than fighting with those raptors... I like him,"
They take a seat and after 5 minutes the cute waitress comes with the food,
"You just made the whole restaurant order something, you should come here this happy more times,"
"How did you assume he was happy after what he did?" reply Inazuke,
"He always comes here depressed, this is the first time I see him in this mood,"
"Lisa, Don't destroy my mood, this is the last money we have," Says Ken after he just finished eating the best bowl of spaghetti of his life
It turns out that the name of the cute waitress was Lisa and that he knows Ken for a long time,
"Want to earn more money?" Ask Lisa
"I told you I am not getting a job he..." Ken doesn't get to finish his sentence because Lisa slams a piece of paper on their table
"This might interest you," Says Lisa while smiling
"I swear to god, if this is the bill, I am going to kill you," says Ken while smiling
Inazuke it's the one that reads what is written on the paper. It was a miniboss quest, the objective is to kill "the black knight" within the time limit of 5 minutes, rewarding with tons of experience points and 200 gold each,
"Hm, "the black knight," couldn't he choose a more generic name? says Ken
"This is a lot of money... for us at least, where do you think it's the best time to leave?"Ask Inazuke looking at Ken
It was the middle of the day when they got this quest so they decided to leave tomorrow morning so they have half a day to prepare,
They decided to go and farm some near town camps to test new strategies,
Ken took Inazuke advice and they farmed a bit normally, he bought a new weapon, throwing daggers, The shopkeeper explained that they have infinite ammo and that their effective range is a medium-range,
Since Ken now has a ranged weapon his base attack damage got reduced from 75 to 70. He also doesn't know how to use them properly so his final base attack damage is 65
"Throwing daggers? I thought you will get something with more range and damage" Says Inazuke
"I still want to use my sword, and also the highest range weapon available to us is a longbow which is a two-handed weapon, I like something that I only need one hand for"
"So how do you feel about your new playstyle,"
"So far so good, I just need to get used to the transformed ability,"
"Transformed what?
Some abilities can change based on the current weapon of the user since Ken is using two weapons at the same time right now, his first ability changed
Ability name: Perfect shot/stab
"The user fires a rapid shot in front of him dealing "30" physical damage, additionally applies a stack of "calculated strikes". When an enemy unit is in melee range, the skill changes to "Perfect stab" "
Cooldown: 5 sec
"Any more information in the tooltip?"
"Eh, just some boring stuff, The passive obviously doesn't work with the ranged ability, and that it is stoped by the first enemy unit hit,"
"Should we go test this on the miniboss?" Ask Inazuke
"Right now? it was planed we go there in the morning,"
"Yes, I know, but we don't have food for tonight,"
Ken starts thinking, he realized that Inazuke was right, they used all their money for the expensive meal they got and they made enough money for only one serving of food
So they decided to go there as the last thing they will do today
In order to get to this miniboss, you need to complete his dungeon, his dungeon is very near a town so people complaining about him was not a new story
Ken and Inazuke get in front of the dungeon
"Must be scary to leave so near a dungeon with a miniboss, I hope the citizens are safe" Says Inazuke concerned
Ken that was reading the quest details replies
"Actually, people are complaining about him because he sometimes laughs maniacally in the middle of the night and scares them, the boss was not seen out of his cave for 50 years by now"
After their little chat, they enter the dungeon,
Even tho Inazuke passive was useless, they manage pretty well to deal with the monsters in the dungeon, Inazuke tanking some of the damage while Ken deals damage from afar and additionally changing the role, Ken getting the attention of the monsters, and Inazuke making sure Ken in not getting killed,
When they arrive at the boss area they are greeted by a deep voice laughing, it was an empty room with some armor pieces on the ground,
It didn't take long until the door behind them closed and the armor start floating forming a shape
"When I thought it can't get more generic than this," Says Ken
The armor took shape of a big warrior with a giant cleaver
And so, the boss battle began, but they quickly realized
"I dealt only 10 damage with an attack," Says Inazuke surprised, and then looks at Ken
Ken throws some daggers at the boss but he is not affected at all
"Don't look at me, now you can say I deal 1 damage per basic attack, aren't you supposed to deal damage based on maximum health?
"It has less health than you, our big problem is his armor, I think it has over 100"
"HAHAHA, You think you can hurt me with those tiny swords, I eat that for breakfast, I will show damage" And the boss slams his cleaver near Ken
Ken managed to dodge the attack but the pressure of the attack was so high that it pushed Ken into a wall, and the boss starts approaching Ken ready to strike him since he couldn't get up that easily
"This is bad, I need to do something," Thinks Inazuke
He took distance from the boss and calmly says
"Hey, bucket head! you seem a little bit rusty, don't you clean your armor?"
The attention of the boss turned to Inazuke
"What did you say? I can't hear ants from up here"
"It shouldn't have gotten here, but you forced my hand," Says Inazuke very serious
"You make me laugh," Says the boss and starts approaching Inazuke ignoring Ken
"We only have 2 minutes left, I need to wake up Ken and maybe run from the boss until the time runs out," thinks Inazuke
Before the boss gets in front of him, Inazuke shouts
"OY, KEN, IF WE DEFEAT THE BOSS IN LESS THAN A MINUTE, TONIGHT'S FOOD IS ON ME"
Ken immediately raise his head from the ground
"Did he say he gonna pay for the food?"
Behind the boss that was looking at Inazuke starts glowing a red light
The boss sees that and turns around, Ken was standing up, glowing with a red light, and slowly approaching the boss while he draws his sword
"Cool sword, I will bury you with it," Says the boss while preparing the same strike that he has done the first time
The boss again slams his cleaver in Ken's direction. After the smoke disappeared we see Ken standing near the cleaver strike, He didn't only dodge the attack, but he didn't move a bit by the current, and with a rapid strike he cuts the boss arm with only one s***h,
"What? 100 true damage?" Thinks Inazuke surprised by what he witnessed
The boss jumps back and after a shout, his armor start growing some spikes and the boss starts growing in size
"I AM UNBREAKABLE"
"He increased his armor and health, Ken, be careful"
Ken was not saying anything but his red aura was stronger
He rushes in front of the boss and jumps, The boss starts to prepare a big punch with his gauntlet, and before hitting Ken, Ken disappears
and after one second
"One thousand strikes"
After Ken's voice was heard, all near the boss, Slashes starts appearing, they did deep cuts on the armor, and fast as a blink
"His health is going down faster than Ken eats his spaghetti," Thinks Inazuke
And after that Ken appeared behind the boss and after a short while, he exploded, only his helmet remained intact and thus the boss was defeated in 30 seconds
"You bastard," Says Ken and his red aura disappears and he looked like collapsing
"We share money, it doesn't matter who pays" and looks at Inazuke
"It doesn't matter that right now, what the hell did you do?"
"I will explain to you later" and he gets up slowly
"Easy little guy, you did enough"
"Shut up, I will leave this cave as a champion"
He did that, he walked the cave on its own but the moment he left the cave he collapsed right in the grass
"At least you left the cave as a champion as you said"
But Ken didn't hear that cuz he was already asleep
Ken wakes up in the same place he fainted, He questions how he ended up there but then Inazuke told Ken that they level up after the quest
"I am level 20, let me see what can I upgrade"
He opens his skills menu and get's surprised
"It changed!" Says like he was about to cry
"What?" Inazuke was confused
Then he looks too and sees
Passive name: Blade of the unknown origin
Combat passive
"When the holder of the blade comes to melee range with the opponent, his basic attacks and abilities deal a bonus of "3" true damage to the target"
Cooldown: Allways active
"Ken, I am so proud, You grew up so quickly," Says Inazuke almost crying as well
"Stop talking like you are my dad, Let's go to eat, I am hungry"
"Hello hungry, I AM DAD," Says Inazuke laughing
Ken draws his blade and with a killer expression says
"You have 5 seconds"
And Ken chase Inazuke all the town till they get to the restaurant
Inazuke enters with the boss helmet on his head
"Hello humans, I am bucket head, I am here to order some foo..."
He doesn't get finish the sentence because Ken hits him in the head and because of the big helmet he had on, he fainted
"Don't listen to him, I want the best spaghetti, AGAIN"
Inazuke woke up and they sat down at the table again
Lisa comes with the food
"You killed it in the same day? That's impressive"
"Trust me, Lisa... This was the longest day in my life,
