Chapter 1: The Beginning

"HaaaaaaaaaH" with a strong sword stab in the front, the man with a weird looking sword killed one of the mobs but after a short while, a notification appeared in front of him that said "Quest failed, 20 out of 50 raptors killed,"
"We were not even close?"
But then the other people that were in the team comes to him
"What the hell man? you suck!"
"Yea, why did you take a jungle quest if your kit is not designed for that?"
"I told you it's not a good idea to take him in our team,"
And they left, leaving behind a poor looking soul in the middle of the forest
"Damn, I hate to party with other people, they are so... toxic I guess it's the word"
Then he looks at his inventory
"30 gold? well it's enough for food in the evening"
Then he leaves too, going to the nearest city
After he gets there he enters a restaurant,
Immediately after entering, he was greeted by the owner,
"Ken! My friend, as usual? a cheap bowl of spaghetti with a bottle of water?
Ken was eating there every single day for the past 4 years, so everyone knew him,
"Cheap spaghetti? why do you assume I have no money?
"Sorry if I pissed you off, but you eat this for the past 4 years, you earned more money today?"
Ken looks down at the floor and says
"No... when are the spaghetti ready?"
"Hahaha, there is no shame of eating spaghetti, Your luck is our speciality, they will be ready in about 5 minutes, take a seat until that,"
Ken sits down and thinks,
"I wish I can hate him, but I can't, he is so cheerful, I wish I was that positive"
Then a cute waitress comes to Ken and brings him a glass of juice
Ken looks confused and before he can say something the waitress says
"Don't worry, this one it's on us, I know you can't afford it anyway"
Ken just looks disappointed and start drinking the juice
"I told you already you should get a job here, you might earn enough money to eat other things than spaghetti," says the waitress
"And I told you already that I can't, I have a combat passive it will not help me at all when it comes to an everyday job, I know it might sound weird, but your "anti-trip" passive might be more useful than mine"
"What's your passive again?"
"I deal bonus true damage when I come to melee range"
"What? that seems so cool, how can you say it's bad?"
"You didn't look at the numbers"
"What do you mean?"
Then Ken brings up the screen that shows his abilities and goes to his passive
The waitress starts to read,
Passive name: Blade of the unknown origin
Combat passive
"When the holder of the blade comes to melee range with the opponent, his basic attacks deal a bonus of "1" true damage to the target"
Cooldown: Always active
The waitress remain silent for a couple of seconds and then start laughing,
"I am sorry, I shouldn't laugh at a combat passive when I don't have one, but hey, at least it has a pretty cool name, and looks like your food is ready, I will bring it to you" She winks at Ken and leaves,
The food comes to Ken, he looks at the bowl of pasta and thinks
"I am so sick of eating spaghetti every day,"
Then he starts eating the spaghetti and thinks again
"Who am I even kidding? I love them, they are the food of the god"
He eats all the spaghetti with tears in his eyes
The waitress from before that looked at him, jiggle a little because Ken was always doing that,
Then a man comes to Ken table
"You look like you enjoyed your meal,"
"Um... yes, You should get this too, its the restaurant speciality after all,"
"Ok then, I want two bowls of spaghetti at this table, please!"
Then he sits down in front of Ken
"Don't worry I will pay for them but with one condition,"
Ken looked very happy about the free meal
"Sure"
"You look like a smart guy, I want to ask some questions,"
Ken looks at him with a very dumb expression
"Did you... say... smart?"
"Anyway, tell me what is happening with this world, I mean with all the passive, and things like that"
"Why do you sound like you don't come from this world?"
"My story is... complicated"
Ken looks a little worried but he starts to explain
"Well then I will explain to you like you are really not from this world
The world of Iafugar is the world we all live in, we are currently in a small town called Fujimoto, this place is mostly for unranked to low-rank people who have combat passive and for small experience people with non-combat passive"
"What is this passive thing?"
"All the people are born with a passive that might help you in combat or a passive that helps them in everyday life. This is decided by the town hall of every town and if they decide that you have combat passive, they will give you a pass that lets you get abilities and train them. Using abilities without a pass it's illegal and you will get into trouble for doing that. So for example you can have a passive like the owner of the restaurant that reads:

Non-Combat passive
"Food prepared by the user gets a boost in taste based on the user feelings at the moment,"
Cooldown: 15 minutes
Or you can have one like mine which makes me deal more damage when I am close to the target,"
"Interesting, when do you get this passive thingy?"
"Well... it depends what is your passive and what you did to discover it, I got mine when I picked for the first time my father sword, The restaurant owner probably got it when he cooked for the first time. But in some cases, the passive reveals itself in the skills menu without doing anything. So if you didn't find your passive yet, I recommend you to start doing some new stuff,"
"There is no need for that, I have mine" Then the guy opens his skill menu and shows Ken his passive

"The user gets a bonus of "77" attack damage to mobs and structures if there are no allies near him,"
Cooldown: Always active
"That's so cool!"
"You can call me Inazuke, and thank you for the information,"
"No, Thank you for the free food,"
"You know, you seem nice, maybe we should hang out together,"
"I still have to complete that damn raptors quest, you up for that?"
"Sure, 7 in the morning?"
"Be there at 6 or be fat!"
"HAH! Sure buddy,"
