Ella knew that in Melvin's current state, he couldn't stop her from leaving no matter how much he wanted to. All she had to do was type in the code on the screen and she would be able to make her way out.
None of Melvin's underlings had followed him here and they also couldn't get through to him so she could safely get a stranger to lend her his or her phone and call Mike. Mike would help her leave the country and she would go into hiding, in a place where Melvin would never think to look for her.
