NINE | The Aftermath

POV | Landon

We all stood in silence waiting for Myles to speak, he looked defeated. I guess this whole Belle thing really meant something to him. Sighing, he looked us all in the eyes and finally spoke the truth he had been holding back.

"Last year I asked Belle out okay.." Ryan and Cam's jaw's dropped open, them looking at me for my reaction before looking back to Myles in disbelief.

"Dude.." Cam spoke shaking his head at Myles, him only groaning and running his hands over his face "I know, trust me I f*****g know"

I can imagine how bad he felt back then keeping this from all of us. Not only did he know how I felt about Belle, but to him, she might as well have been another Zoe. I did everything to take care of both of them girls, and they all knew how important it was for me to do so.

Another moment passed before Ryan spoke up "Why would you do that without talking to us, without talking to Landon?" He spoke as if he was in a daze, clearly confused.. we all were.

Ryan, Cam, Myles and I had been friends for years. We pretty much kept to ourselves and what one person knew we all knew, it was just how we'd always been. Which is why we were all so confused that he had kept this from us, especially when it was about someone we had all grown up with, someone so close to me and my family.

More importantly someone he knew I cared about, even though I struggled to come to terms with it back then he still went for it. My thoughts ran, me growing angrier by the second as the silence again took over.
