She ignored me. She f*****g ignored me. I don't know what I expected but seeing her eyes, like a deer caught in headlights, looking at me like she was stuck. I wanted to walk over and rip her out of the haze. Mainly because I knew I was the reason she was there. The idea that one kiss could do that to her innocent little soul turned something on in me. It made me want more. I'd spent the morning with Ryan, though at first he didn't approve of my early morning wake up call one caffeinated beverage later and we were at the gym. I'd managed to work out all my frustration that had kept me awake. One look from Belle, and it all came rushing back. Ryan's words repeating through my head, 'You've always wanted this, even if you didn't want to admit it. Why stop now? You've already tested the waters, so start swimming" I'd somehow found myself jumping into the deep end, sinking further and further with no way back to the surface. Maybe he was right, maybe the only thing I could do was swim. But Belle wasn't someone I wanted to push, with how nervous she looked this morning I didn't want to force this on her. As much as she wanted that kiss too, It wasn't fair to just do it again. Was it easier? Knowing how she would react to me if I just pressed my lips to hers, yes. But Belle thought a lot, too much. So I knew she would need time to do exactly that. Overthink, make a plan, remake the plan, then adorably forget everything and stumble on her words when she finally spoke to me.
