“Tell your king my treaty with his late father still stands and I have no business with Wex as long as King Abacus remains their king. My army will be standing next to the kingdom of Maxis for my support any day he will call on me,” Queen Eve said. 

“It will please my king to hear of your support,” said Adrian the nobleman from Maxis as he takes a low bow before the Queen. “We will be on our way home now,” he added.

Adrian was one of the foot soldiers that fought alongside King Aba. He chose to retire from battle when he heard of the King’s death. King Afa cherished his service under the reign of his father and appointed him a nobleman. Adrian was tall with a pointed nose with sweet red lips. His long hair was resting on his shoulders. Standing from her throne, she made her way to Adrian, “It will please the Queen if you spend a night in her kingdom. Food and all your need will be provided for you and your men. The way back to Maxis is not safe at night and it’s already getting dark,” she said putting up a smile. 

“As it pleases the queen,” Adrian replied with a bow.

Kingdom of Maxis

“Son, any word from your envoy yet?” Queen Afi asked. She makes her way to King Afa who was seated next to the palace pool. 

“No mother, but they will be back tomorrow,” he replied. 

“What are you doing in the dark here all by yourself?” she asked as she sat beside her son. 

“I just need some fresh air to think,” he replied with a glance at his mother. 

“Think about what?” she asked with curiosity. 

“I saw father when I was in the land of the dead. He told me he was killed,” King Afa narrates.

Ever since King Afa returned from the land of the dead, he has been thinking a lot lately about what his father told him. He wishes to return but he doesn't know how to. The only way back to the land of the dead is to be dead or your soul trapped when touched by a Dybbuk.

On hearing this, Queen Afi adjusted and with a steady gaze of curiosity, “Did he tell you who did?” she asked. 

“No, I did not get the chance to know that before I was brought back,” he replied putting down his face.

“What are you planning to do?” the Queen asked still expressing curiosity. 

“If I can find the Dybbuk, I will want my soul to be trapped again in the land of the dead. Maybe this time I will be able to know the truth.” 

“I forbid you from doing that,” Queen Afi cried out.

The last time a Dybbuk touched the king, Ada blamed her mother for everything. She can't stand what she passed through in the hands of Ada. She just wished to make things right with her daughter and the last thing that the king should be talking about is going back to the land of the dead, lest Ada will still blame her mother for allowing his brother to take such a decision. 

“I am the king, mother, and no one forbids the king from doing anything. I need answers and I must find it,” King Afa said standing to his feet. “If you don’t mind, I have to retire to my chamber,” he added.

Kingdom of Uzex

“You sent for me,” Adrian said standing before the queen in the hallway that leads to the queen’s chamber. 

“Of course I did,” Queen Eve replied. “You mind if I show you something?” she added staring at Adrian. 

“As it pleases the queen,” Adrian replied. 

“Come with me please." The queen leads the way.

Walking down the long hallway the queen stood in front of the door at the left hand of the hallway. The door was the last door of the hallway. She slowly opened the door and invited Adrian in. As Adrian walks into the door, the queen slowly shuts the door behind, “This is a chamber,” Adrian said turning to face the queen who was still standing beside the door.

The queen was leaning at the door but suddenly she let loose of her long milk gown. “Oh no!” Adrian cried out as the queen stood in front of him naked. “It’s okay, you can look,” the queen said in a soothing voice. 

“It will be unwise for me to look, my queen,” Adrian replied putting away his face. He started looking towards the window and the table beside the window.

Queen Eve approaches Adrian and gently turned his face to look. “Don’t turn the queen down while the queen burns from the inside,” she mutters. The queen became persuasive enough that Adrian gazed at her sweet honey lips. They were lilac soft. The queen however was not advanced in age. The late king of Uzex married her virgin and she was still young with a nice shapely figure.  Her soothing voice was sweet as it sounded like a piece of soft sweet music into Adrian’s ear.

A messenger from the kingdom of Maxis came bearing news. One of the guards led him to the quarters where the guards from Maxis and Adrian were given by the queen. Approaching the two guards from Maxis, the messenger stood in front of them staring around. 

“Where is Lord Adrian, I came bearing news,” said the messenger. 

“The queen demanded his attention. What’s the news all about that it couldn’t wait till will return tomorrow?” said one of the guards from Maxis. 

“Lord Adrian’s wife has given birth to a boy,” the messenger replied.
