Carrying his son up and down his wooden house, he hears two gentle knocks on the front door. “Who is it?” Adrian asked walking close to the door. His wife was fast asleep in their room. Leaning by the wooden edge of the door, he asked again, “Who is there?” “I have a message for you from Queen Eve of Uzex said the voice of a guard who was standing outside. On hearing this, Adrian quickly opened his door as he fixes his eyes on the guard. “What news are you talking about?” he asked in a tiny little voice as he shuts the door behind him.

“Queen Eve sent her Herald demanding your noble assistance in the kingdom of Uzex,” the guard replied. “Is King Afa aware of this?” Adrian asked with curiosity. “The message is specifically for you my Lord,” the guard replied. “Where is the Herald now?” Adrian inquired. “He is on his way back to Uzex. “Thanks for letting me know,” Adrian replied.

Walking inside his house, the wife was standing by the entrance of the room staring at him, “Who was that?” she yawed. “Oh, my love, you are awake. I am just trying to put our son to sleep,” Adrian replied putting up a fake smile. “What’s that a guard from the king’s palace?” she inquired making her way to Adrian. “Yes my love,” he replied putting down his head.

“Don’t tell me the king is sending you away again,” she said. “No my love, he is not,” he replied calmly. “Then why was the king’s guard here?” she asked again and with her eyes fixed on her husband. “The king wants to make sure I have gotten home safely. There was an attack on the other two envoys,” Adrian replied as he clears his throat. “Oh my love, I am glad you came home to meet your new son and I,” she said kissing her husband. “I will go back to sleep now,” she added. “Of course,” Adrian replied with a fake smile.

Kay began to undress in front of the king as he lay down on the bed smiling and gazing at Kay as she slowly undresses. King Abacus is already undressed and all lying on the bed alone waiting for Kay. Letting lose her long red gown, she stepped out from it and tossed it by the side of the bed. “Come to me,” King Abacus said.
