Meeting the brother

“That’s such a head f**k!” Annie exclaimed after I went through the entire history of me and Liam. 

“I know, when I walked downstairs earlier, he was on the phone to her!” I expressed. She looked at me with her eyes wide.

“What the actual f**k?” She said. I nodded.

“He told her that she could always talk to him and to meet him in his office at 1pm to show him something” I explained and she bit her lip whilst she processed everything. After taking a sip of wine she tapped my leg.

“Well... you know what that means?” I looked at her confused.

“We’re going to march straight into his office after spying on them and ask him what the hell is going on between them” she stated. I became extremely frightened and nervous.

“I can’t do that Annie, that’s weird and obsessive” I stated and she laughed.

“Not when he is clearly hiding something it’s not!” I smiled at her and we devised a cunning plan to sneak in when everyone goes on lunch. Soon enough I managed to fall asleep after being troubled by my thoughts about Liam. 

When I woke up, I turned to the clock to check the time after noticing that Annie was still fast asleep in the bed next to me. 6:46am. It’s so early but I’m wide awake and there’s no way I’m gonna fall back asleep. My stomach started rumbling so I went to the kitchen and scrounged the cupboards for food. I found a banana and peeled it over the bin. The sounds of metal clanking came from her garage. I walked over to the garage door to inspect. 

Her brother was sitting there on his gym equipment, pumping a large pole with weights on either end of it to his chest. His muscles were bulging through his shirt and his sweat was dripping down his face. He realised I had walked in and placed the weight onto the hooks above him and sat up. 

“Oh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know you were in here. I was just wondering what that noise was” I panicked and he smirked at me. He grabbed the towel from the floor and blotted at his brow before standing to his feet. Making his way over to me, my heart was racing inside my chest. He gazed down at me, still smirking and panting from his workout. 

“Bit of an early bird aren’t you?” His smirk turned into a grin and I was silent. Trying to find some sort of response, I finally replied “I was hungry”.

He wiped the lump of banana from the corner of my mouth with his thumb. My breath got caught in my chest as his skin made contact with mine. He was towering above me with a seductive look in his eyes. 

“Can’t have that, can we?” He softly said, clearly implying something filthy. I don’t understand what’s happening to me, I was filled with anxiety and nerves from the closeness of his body. I couldn’t move, speak or even make a sound. It was as if he had taken control of me through his deep blue gaze. 

“I’m happy to make sure your needs are met, you are our guest after all” he suggested and leant closer to my face. His mouth was so close to touching mine and there was part of me that wanted him to kiss me. His hand made its way around my waist and he pulled my body against his. I could feel his hardened c**k against my stomach and I gasped. 

“I...” I couldn’t string a sentence together. I was completely in his control. Come on Elle,  you’re better than this! Your not Liam! Oh f**k, Liam. As his name repeated through my mind I placed my hand to Dan’s chest and gently pulled away from him.

“I can’t” I finally said. I thought he would be annoyed or frustrated, but instead he just laughed. 

“You’re cute” he said and walked back over to his equipment. He sat down on the bench and gazed back over to me. 

“Whenever you get hungry for something a little more... filling, I’ll be glad to fill you up” he smugly offered and laid back down on the bench to grab his weight. I hurried back into the kitchen and tried to compose myself. f**k, what the hell happened to me in there?

Taking deep breaths, I looked up at Liam’s work building and tried to calm my nerves. It was 12:58pm and I was preparing myself in Annie’s car. She looked at me and grabbed my hand.

“It’s gonna be fine hun, you’re not doing this alone” she reassured me and I nodded.

“Ready?”

“I think so” I replied and we headed into the building. 

“Do you know what floor he’s on?” She asked and I shook my head. I noticed a sign that had a list of the different departments and labelled the floor they were on. I smiled at Annie and replied “there, floor 17, department of enquiries”. Annie chuckled and we walked over to the elevator. She pressed the button and the doors opened, revealing a group of workers who were heading out to lunch. We let them pass and then stepped inside. Annie pressed the button and the doors slowly closed. I was shaking my leg as the nerves grew stronger. Annie noticed and gripped my arm. 

“We can go back if you want to” she suggested and I shook my head.

“No, I want to know what that little fucker wants to show him” I growled.

The doors opened to an empty desk with a note perched against the back of the computer. ‘Out to lunch, back in 30 minutes’. “At least we know how long we’ve got” Annie said. We stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the hall way. Before we reached it, the sound of a door opening startled us and we hid behind the desk. Annie peered from the side and saw Tess locking her office door. She looked at me and indicated it was her. I looked over and saw her walk down the hall to the last door on the left. She knocked and then opened the door. After she had disappeared, Annie stood to her feet and beckoned me to come out.

“I don’t know Annie” I said as my nerves started to get the better of me. She slumped her shoulders and whispered “we’re here now, don’t you want to know what he’s been up to during his lunch breaks?” She asked and I sighed. I took the lead and sneaked down the long corridor. Every office was empty and we passed Tess’s. Once we reached the end, I crouched by the wall and read the plaque next to the door on the left. ‘Mr. Liam Thompson. Enquiries assistant’. I looked at Annie and she nodded as if to say ‘let’s do it’. I pressed my ear against the key hole to get some sort of idea as to what I was about to walk into.
