Chapter10 the morning after

Violet's P.O.V    Morning came and the sun was shining through the window, the sun's rays were shining on my face, waking me up. I turned, smiling as I watched the gentle rise and fall of my mates chest, as he slept. I got out of bed, walked to the bathroom to do my business and take a shower. I was still a little sore from last night, so I took my time on the toilet and thought a little about the details of last night's discussion and this Rick guy just showing up out of the blue. I had a sneaky feeling that he was with Tally and I couldn't help but be curious about this woman, what did she look like? How tall was she? What color her eyes were? Was she pretty or ugly? Why did she want my crown?   I knew that there wasn't anything romantic between them, but she must be one stubborn woman. I thought to myself, stepping into the shower and letting the warm water run down my body. I was so deep in though that I didn't notice that Jordan had opened the door to the bathroom, until he opened the shower door and scared me half to death, making me jump and almost slip. Jordan caught me mid fall, we both laughed at each other and took a shower together. Jordan got out first, grabbed two towels and wrapped us both up in them, drying us off. We walked into the bedroom and started getting dressed.   "So do you think he will admit to us what he's up to today?" I asked, as I pulled my top on.    "I don't know, we're just going to have to play it by ear." Jordan said, shrugging his shoulders and zipping up his jeans, I nodded and we both continued to get dressed, ready for the day's unknown events. We walked downstairs and into the office, to start on the paperwork for that day, not more than twenty minutes went by and there was a knock at the door. Jordan and I both looked at each other and then at the door.   "Come in." Jordan said, leaning back in his tall black chair. The door opened slowly and Rick cautiously popped his head in.   "Can we talk?" Rick asked, you could see that he was nervous just by looking at him. I stood up and walked over to Jordan, placing my hand on his shoulder.   "Yes of course, come in, sit down and we can talk." Jordan said, gesturing the chair in front of his desk, that I had just been sitting in. Rick gingerly walked in, shutting the door behind him and took a seat. He was silent for a few minutes, until Jordan broke the ice.   "I thought you said you wanted to talk?" Jordan asked him, waiting for him to make any sound at all.    "Yeah I do, I kinda want to talk." Rick said, nervously gulping. We both nodded, but nothing.   "Go on, you have the stage." I said, trying to help him along a bit.   Rick's P.O.V    This was my chance, I had to tell them everything and spill the beans. I liked this pack, they welcomed me and the shower here is amazing. What is it with me and that shower? I thought to myself, internally smiling, but my nerves were creeping up on me again. I knew this was dangerous, I knew it could get me killed, but it was a risk I was willing to take. I wanted to earn their trust and respect, I wanted to be part of a pack again, but not just any pack I wanted to be part of this pack.   "I think you already know what I want to talk about." I uttered out, swallowing the lump that had been forming in my throat.   "We are just waiting for you to explain." Jordan said, interlocking his fingers in front of him.   "Tally wanted me to come here to keep an eye on the both of you, to make sure that you two are drifting aparat. She wants to know if the spell is working. What should I tell her?" I asked, saying it as fast as I could, trying to get it over with. Violet smirked at me and raised her eyebrow.   "You just tell her that we are sleeping in different beds and that we're arguing like crazy, because when she gets here, it's not going to be a pretty site." Violet said, with the same smirk on her face, as if she was plotting something. Jordan nodded, stood up and walked around the side of his desk to me.   "So what really made you leave your pack?" Jordan asked me, sitting down on the edge of his desk.   "What I told you last night was the truth, I left because I didn't want to follow the rules and I have been gone for five months, but I'm tired of being a rogue, I'm tired of being cold and hungry and sleeping in caves or trees. I'm ready to go by the rules and be in a pack, plus my brother Hunter will stop hunting me down to kick my ass for leaving the pack, I know he's going to want his brother back in the same pack, but until he finds me, I would like to stay here and learn the ways of rules." I honestly said, Violet and Jordan both gave each other a look and nodded to each other.  "On one condition….You must leave your mind open, we must be able to hear every thought and link, it's the only way for you to stay here." Jordan said and nodded, understanding why I must do this. "I agree to your terms. It's going to be pretty weird letting others know my thoughts, but I do agree to the terms." I said, breathing out a sigh of relief.    "Very well, go and get some more rest or you if you wanted to you could help with training." Jordan said, standing up.    "I've had enough rest, the bed was very comfortable. I'll help with training if that's okay, I have learned a lot out in the woods." I replied, standing up to face him.   "Alright you're more than welcome to help with training, I'll link the trainer Sherry, I'm sure she would love some help." Jordan said, I nodded and left to head to the training ground.   "Remember to leave your mind open, we need to hear every link and every thought." Violet mind-linked me.   "I haven't forgotten, my mind is wide open." I replied through the mind-link and Violet stopped talking just as I reached Sherry.
