The Alphas Mate

Chapter two getting ready surprise mate

Violet's P.O.V 

  As I slept I dreamt of Jordan, he held me close in his arms and we were dancing the night away. He leaned in kissing me passionately and my legs felt like they had turned to jello, his tongue moving around with mine, his hands holding onto my waist. He stopped the kiss, leaning down to my ear and whispering MATE. Suddenly, I woke up, I woke up before the alarm went off and before my mother came banging on the door. I looked at my phone and saw that my alarm would go off in 30 minutes, so I decided to get up. I walked to the bathroom, put on the shower, took my clothes off and got in. I let the warm water run down my body and started washing my hair and body. I thought about the dream I had, who was I kidding Jordan wouldn't want me, he had Hope and they were joined at the hip. 

  I finished my shower, put the towel around my body, dried off and put a hair towel around my hair. I stepped back into my bedroom and set down to do my makeup, I did the foundation and powder to set it. I did my eyes with black eyeliner and some light eyeshadow, I made my eyes look smokey. I took the towel off my head, brushed out my hair and put it up in a neat bun, letting little pieces of hair drop around my face. I walked over to my closet and pulled out my dress, it was a purple strapless dress and fitted me perfectly, showing off all my curves. I put my heels on and an oval necklace around my neck, with the earrings and bracelet to match. I walked over to the full length mirror to look at myself.

  "Not bad, not too bad at all." I said out loud to myself. I spun round and looked at the time, I had ten minutes to pick up Kate and Lisa. I grabbed my bag, sprayed a little bit of body spray on myself and rushed out the bedroom. I reached the bottom of the stairs, just as my mom was coming up to wake me. I kissed my mother's cheek and then my dad's and rushed out the door, I got in my car and quickly sped off. I sped to Kate's house, picked her up and then made my way to Lisa's.

   Kate was wearing a light green dress with spaghetti straps, with matching shoes and jewellery. Her hair was laying over her shoulder and she looked beautiful. We finally pulled up to Lisa's house and she got in the car. Lisa was wearing a strapless yellow dress, with shoes and jewellery to match and her hair was french braided. Lisa wasn't talking much, which wasn't like her at all.

  "Lisa are you ok?" I said, looking in the rearview mirror at her. She looked down and started blushing a deep red.

  "I found my mate!" Lisa screamed, which made me slam on her breaks, in shock.

  "You what? When? Who is it?" Kate and I asked in unison, firing questions at her left right and centre. She started to laugh at our response and excitement.

  "One of the fighters, his name is Jeff. We were training and I started smelling black berries and fresh cut grass, I turned and there he was looking right back at me, we trained together and then we talked until it was time to get ready. He's going to meet us there." Lisa said, looking all dreamy and in love.

   "Well what does he look like?" Kate said, looking over to her. Lisa blushed.

  "He has black shoulder length hair, he's tall, tanned and has the most beautiful green eyes." Lisa replied, blushing even more at the thought of her mate. 

  "I'm glad you found your mate. Kate your next." I laughed, looking at Kate.

  "We will see." Kate said, laughing at both of us. I started the car back up again and sped off, twenty five minutes later we arrived at the grand hall, we found a parking spot and got out. I turned around and noticed a she-wolf walking with Todd, one of the guards.

  "I thought Hope was Jordan's mate?" I questioned, but Lisa shook her head. 

  "They were only together until they found their mates. I guess Mandy found her mate." Lisa said, looking towards Todd and Hope, we watched as they walked into the grand hall, with their arms wrapped around each other. We walked towards the entrance and as soon as we stepped foot in the door, our jaws dropped in awe. There were flowers on every table, there was a buffet of food at the other end of the room and the lights were dimmed, but you could still see everything. All the she-wolves were looking for Jordan, they were wearing a little too much makeup and it made them look tacky. They had a wine fountain made up of wine glasses, it looked really cool.

  "Oh I'm sorry." Jordan said, bumping into us. I turned and realised who it was. Jordan smiled at me and gently touched my hand, causing me to blush and gently pull away from him. He just nodded, winked at me and walked away, leaving me so confused and not to mention everyone including Jordan's mother and father saw what had happened, making me blush even more. I turned around and was faced with Kate smiling at me.

  "He's your mate violet." Kate whispered, I just shook my head. 

  "I doubt he wants me, he probably had a mate already lined up." I sighed, Kate shook her head, 

  "Just wait and see, I bet you are." Kate whispered again, but this time she seemed much more sure of herself. I still shook my head and started laughing. I didn't feel the bond, tomorrow is my birthday and that's when I will shift, maybe then I will find my mate, but until then I just don't feel anything. A few minutes later. The Alpha got up on stage and cleared his throat. 

  "I would like for my son Jordan to come up on stage please." The Alpha said, Jordan walked up on stage and the Alpha looked at his son 

  "Tonight my son will be taking over as Alpha and I will be stepping down. Jordon please give me your hand." The Alpha announced, Jordan did what he was told to do and his dad took a dagger, slicing his own hand and then Jordon's. They let the blood drip in a cup for the ceremony, he handed the cup to his son and he put it to his lips to drink lots it. You could clearly see that Jordan felt his father's power go into him. 

  "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your new Alpha. please enjoy yourselves." The Alpha said, raising Jordan's hand. Jordan kept looking at me, but I tried to avoid eye contact with him. Before I knew what was going on, I felt a soft hand on my waist. It was Jordan, he leaned down so that his lips were right next to my ear.

  "Mate." Jordan whispered in my ear, my jaw dropped and Kate had heard what he had said and leaned over to me.

  "I told you so." Kate whispered to me, Jordan smiled at her and then looked back to me.

  "Can we talk?" Jordan asked, I blushed as everyone was watching us. I turned to him, looking into his eyes for the first time and nodded yes, he gently took my hand leading me to the hallway. Once we were there he stopped and turned to me. 

  "Why can't you tell we're mates?" Jordan asked me.

  "I haven't shifted yet. So I don't know if we are or not." I sighed, Jordan nodded in understanding.

  "When is your birthday?" Jordan asked me.

  "Tomorrow." I said and he nodded once more.

  "What fears me the most is that when I shift, what happens if you're not my mate? I don't want to hurt you." I said, it would break my heart if I hurt him.

  "Then dance with me, dance until the night is over and if we're not mates, then I'll leave you alone, but right now, let me hold you. Let us dance." Jordan said, holding his hand out to me.

   "I would like that." I replied, taking his hand in mine. We danced for hours, it was like no one was even there. People came out from the grand hall to the hallway to watch them, but I didn't care, I was too happy, then suddenly the clock hit 12 o'clock. I didn't even notice the time, we held onto each other. He reached down to kiss me softly and I felt a sudden spark. My eyes wide, as I started to smell a strong scent of vanilla and cinnamon and I looked into his eyes, 

  "Mate." I whispered and Jordan smiled from ear to ear, but it was short lived and my body started burning, like it had been set on fire.

  "AHHHHH!" I screamed out, it felt like all my bones were breaking.

  "OH MY GODDESS! IT HURTS! MAKE IT STOP! IT HURTS!" I screamed, falling to the floor, crying my eyes out.
