Tara’s POV During a recess at one point in the negotiations, I asked Leo what the penalty is of breaking a blood oath. Apparently I could die, or suffer severe pain, not unlike a rejection, but worse. It wouldn’t be quite as bad for me, as I had only just turned 19 at the time, so I was not an adult yet and therefore too young to consent fully to the oath, but it could still potentially be pretty bad. I wish someone had warned me in advance. But the moon goddess said I had to be let go at age 21, right? So does that mean I can break my oath at that point without consequences? I’m not completely sure, and no one else was completely sure about that, either. But I certainly hope so.
