A Mrs. Like Her

Chapter Four

It's been a week since they have fought. She was in another room while he was in another. Both wanted each other, but both knew they were right at one point. But Nandini was Nandini! She was a true fighter. She didn't listen to anyone and joined her hospital for just four hours, a day which the authorities happily agreed to. She was to start her job from the next week so she used to go out in this free time and practise so to get those skills again! A doctor afterall *winks*

Raj would often get suspicious but Manik was surely a darling husband everyone wants. He knew where she would go but used to cover it up by saying that she had been to her maykaa or shopping. He was that sweet! ❤

At around 9 pm, everyone was having their dinner when suddenly Raj intervened in the deadly silence.

"Manik! I want you to impregnate Nandini very soon. We need a heir very soon" He ordered which literally made Manik and Nandini's anger boil and Cabir and Navya sigh.

"But Papa! It's just three months to our marriage! I want Nandini to be of her own sometime..And anyway! She's just twenty four! I don't think so she will want" Manik tried to sound calm making Nandini sigh as she thought this time too, Manik will listen to his father.

"Do what I say..Don't argue" Raj spoke rudely making his anger boil. He couldn't take it longer and pushed the plate and looked at Raj with bewildered eyes "Enough is Enough!"

All shook eyeing someone standing against Raj, so did Nandini who literally feared of ruining the father-son duo.

"Manik" Raj thought a deep glare from him would stop the hulk, but.

"Papa! Please...Enough is Enough! It's been a week since Me and Nandini have stopped talking..And you know why? Because she wants to work and I am not allowing..And all this us because of you..Only you" Manik stood up and shouted,literally roared like a lion. Navya eyed Nandini and smiled faintly since she had the same wish, but unfortunately her husband wasn't like Manik.

"What do you even think? Do you have ant idea how wrong and how cruel you sound at times? Do you realise what you even speak at times?! Just because no one stops you, that doesn't mean you are always right! We respect you and that's why don't say anything. And what is with this nonsense thinking of yours? Oh wait! I already had an idea about it. I knew you would demand for this as soon as you will suspect Nandini going out to work! Wow! Manik Malhotra impregnated his wife in just four months just because his father didn't wish his wife to work!! Cabir bhai did the same, no!! Did you even ask his wife if she ever wanted a child? Did you?" He punched the dining table which made Raj and others stand up with Nandini and Navya having tears.

"Manik! Stop saying nonsense. She's a girl and eventually she will have to get pregnant and girls don't work in my household" Raj argued making Manik literally cursing himself.

"But Nandini is my wife and planning a baby will always be her choice, did you hear that clearly?" Raj showed him eyes but Manik didn't stop "And she will even work from the coming Monday because she has a will to.." Manik shouted which led Raj slap Manik. Nandini started to pull Manik when he looked at Raj with damn red eyes and shouted "Nandini is my heart and I won't let you destroy her hopes and career, never!!" Nandini was crying very bad. Raj looked at her and cursed her "I know you are not at fault, Manik! I know who has taught you all this! I know she has put the venom" And he was about to slap her when Manik held his hands and threw it back "Don't"

"Manik! Manik! Please calm down.. I promise, I will not work!! Please.. Please calm down" Manik looked at her and his heart broke. Such selfless soul was she. He cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead "Nandini, go to our room and pack our clothes..we won't be here for a minute now"

And Nandini tried to say when he said "Nandini..I said leave" And Sakshi held her hands making Nandini look at her. She blinked her eyes and went inside MaNan's room with a crying Nandini.

"This was enough..Mr.Raj Malhotra..I had enough... I won't take anything against my wife! I will send the papers tomorrow for the partition of the business.." And Manik went inside leaving a fuming Raj behind and a guilty Cabir.

"Maa please calm Manik down!! He's grown impulsive, please Mom!!.." Nandini cried hugging Sakshi when she kissed her hairs. Sakshi caressed her hairs while Nandini kept crying.

"Maa! Can you please leave us for a moment?" Manik entered and spoke making Sakshi caress his cheeks and going out.

Manik locked the door and went to Nandini and kissed her lips caressing her hairs. After she reciprocated, it went long and then as he left her, she hugged him tightly "Manik! Please calm down.. Please don't get angry on your father... Please calm down, please"

Manik caressed her hairs and smiled "No Nandini! I was at fault... I won't let you suffer, Jaan! Never" And as he said *Jaan* her heart started beating very fast.

"I will always support you Manik..no matter what" And she kissed his heart.

Both packed their things and bid adieu to the family members except Raj and they just touched his feet when Raj with tears his eyes.

And they moved away from the house to a 1/2 km far away flat which wa s Manik's wedding gift to his wife.
