Saturday of the wildcard playoff game arrived. There was the usual round of pre-game interviews by the pretty—but basically ignorant—woman sportscaster who asked Adam innocuous questions fed to her by the writers, the answers to which she neither understood nor really cared about. Adam was able to focus, and by kick-off time he had little trouble keeping Brendan out of his thoughts. He played well and the Mustangs won 21 to 13.
