Erwin smiled softly at Ayesha, his eyes conveying the warm feelings that had been kept hidden for a long time. "Ayesha, you have done so much for me, more than I could have imagined. I want to repay all your kindness, and make sure you get the happiness you deserve."
Ayesha felt her heart pounding at Erwin's words. For three years, she had taken care of Erwin with sincerity, without ever feeling burdened. For her, taking care of Erwin was not an obligation, but a form of love that never faded. "Erwin, I never felt like it was a burden. I did everything because I love you," Ayesha said, her voice trembling with emotion.
They stared at each other in a meaningful silence, a moment where their feelings united in silence. However, this warmth did not last long when Jonathan, who had been watching the scene, finally cleared his throat awkwardly. "I think I should leave this room and give you two some time," he said with a teasing smile on his face.
Erwin smiled slightly at Jonathan's attitude, then shook his head. "No need, Jonathan. I was actually planning to take Ayesha to dinner. I'm sure she didn't have time to eat anything at her grandfather's party earlier."
Ayesha was surprised to hear Erwin's offer. "Erwin, you don't have to bother. I'm fine."
"No, Ayesha. You deserve this. Besides, I want to spend more time with you, talking about everything we haven't had the chance to talk about," Erwin said with a soft smile.
Jonathan just chuckled seeing how attentive Erwin was to Ayesha. "Okay, you two. I'll give you two times to talk and enjoy tonight. But don't take too long, we still have a lot to discuss tomorrow."
Erwin nodded at Jonathan before turning to Ayesha. "Let's go, Ayesha. We have a lot to celebrate," he said while holding Ayesha's hand gently. Ayesha could only smile, feeling that tonight was the beginning of something much bigger in her life.
On the way to the exit, Erwin held Ayesha's hand tightly, guiding her with full attention. They passed through the corridors filled with a formal and luxurious atmosphere, until they finally arrived outside the building.
"So, Ayesha," Erwin said softly while glancing at her, "What do you want to eat tonight? I was thinking of taking you to a fancy restaurant. Something special, to please you."
Ayesha smiled slightly, feeling touched by Erwin's attention. However, there was something more personal and intimate that she wanted to do tonight. "Erwin, thank you for your offer. But... I think I'd rather we go home," she said softly.
Erwin looked a little surprised, not expecting Ayesha to reject such a luxurious offer. "Go home? Are you sure? I just want you to feel special tonight."
Ayesha nodded, a sweet smile adorning her face. "I know, Erwin. And I appreciate that. But, there's something special I want to do for you. I want to make a special dinner that I haven't had the chance to make for you."
Erwin looked at Ayesha deeply, feeling the sincerity behind her words. "A special dinner from your own hands? That's much more special than any restaurant," he said with a gentle smile. "Then, I agree. Let's go home."
Ayesha felt relieved and happy with Erwin's decision to respect her choice. The two of them headed to the car, with an atmosphere filled with warmth and closeness. The trip home felt short, as if time passed faster when they were together.
Upon arriving home, Ayesha immediately went to the kitchen, preparing the ingredients for dinner. While Erwin watched with a grateful smile, feeling lucky to have a woman like Ayesha by his side. This dinner was not just food, but a symbol of sincere love and dedication, which they would always remember.
Ayesha started to get busy in the kitchen, taking ingredients to prepare the special fried rice that she had long wanted to make for Erwin. She sliced onions, chopped garlic, and beat eggs with great attention. In every movement of her hands, there was a sense of sincere love and care for Erwin.
Erwin, who was sitting in the dining room, kept glancing towards the kitchen. He couldn't resist getting involved, especially seeing Ayesha so focused and excited. Finally, Erwin got up from his chair and approached Ayesha. "Ayesha, is there anything I can help you with? Maybe I can cut some vegetables or prepare something," he offered with a smile.
Ayesha turned her head and smiled softly. "No need, Erwin. I want you to sit and wait in the dining room. I want this to be a surprise for you," she replied lovingly.
Erwin chuckled, feeling happy but also a little disappointed that he couldn't help. "Okay then. But if you need anything, call me, okay?" He gave in and returned to the dining room, sitting in his place while continuing to watch Ayesha from afar.
From his seat, Erwin stared at Ayesha who was busy cooking with a warm feeling flowing in his heart. Seeing Ayesha so dedicated and full of love in every movement made Erwin feel guilty. He regretted that he had hidden his health condition from Ayesha all this time, not wanting to burden the woman who cared so much about him.
However, right now, all those feelings are mixed with deep happiness. Happiness because he could be here, together with the woman he loved so much, who had taken care of him for years without the slightest complaint. A smile was etched on Erwin's face, and he felt that tonight was a new beginning for the two of them. The beginning of a more open, honest, and loving life.
After a while, the tempting aroma of fried rice began to fill the room. Ayesha deftly finished the final touches on her dish, making sure everything was perfect before serving it to Erwin. With a satisfied smile, she brought the plate of special fried rice to the dining room, where Erwin was waiting patiently.
“Here it is, special homemade fried rice for you, Erwin,” Ayesha said lovingly as she placed the plate in front of him. Erwin stared at the dish in awe, realizing how lucky he was to have Ayesha by his side.
“Thank you, Ayesha,” Erwin replied with a genuine smile. He took the spoon, took the first bite, and instantly his face lit up. “This is amazing, just like I always imagined,” he added with sparkling eyes.
Ayesha smiled widely, happy to see Erwin enjoying his food so much. The two of them began to eat together, savoring every bite while joking and laughing with each other. The atmosphere that night felt so warm and full of love, as if the world belonged only to the two of them.
They talked about many things about the past, future plans, and all the memories they had gone through together. In the midst of the laughter-filled conversation, Ayesha suddenly fell silent. There was a question that had been bothering her for a long time, and tonight she felt like she needed an answer.
“Erwin…” Ayesha said in a soft yet serious tone, looking into her husband’s eyes with curiosity. “Since when did you recover? Since when could you walk and work again?”
