“Wanna go somewhere?”
Julie’s gaze was still on the table when I said the words. It took about half a sec before she lifted her confused gaze at me. She blinked a few times before a knot settled in on her forehead. I could only smile. I knew it. She wasn’t entirely with me. I could see that her mind was on something else.
Kanina ko pa iyong napapansin pero hindi ko na lamang pinupuna. Even her swollen eyes, I tried not to ask about cause I didn’t want to seem nosy. It was just our second time hanging out, I didn’t want her to think na masyado akong nakikialam sa kanya. But if I was being honest, I really wanted to ask her what’s bothering her.
“H- huh? D- did you say something?”
I smiled at her. “I said you’re beautiful.”
