Nora   She parked the truck outside the bar in the run-down part of the city. There was one streetlight that was working and it was flashing more than it was lighting. “Stay here, but keep an eye out,” she told Phoenix.    Taking a dog as large as Phoenix into public sometimes caused the public to worry. Not that they knew what he was, but because he was just scary. Nora could see where they would find him menacing, but she was so used to Phoenix after twenty years that she was just used to how he looked.    Besides, she kicked the Devil in the face.
