IT’S EERIE. THE VOICE WAS SO EERIE as it was laughing while looking at Romina who was walking silently on the east wing of the school building.
“Kekekeke TASTY kekekeke…” the eerie voice muttered. It was about to approach Romina but someone grabbed its head. It turned around and it actually yelped when it saw Luciel staring at it with his crimson red eyes.
“Eeeeek!!!” before it could actually speak further, Luciel squeezed its head like a stress ball and made it burst like a balloon. It also dissolved into black smoke until it was completely gone.
“What are you doing?” Luciel’s eyes changed into brown ones when he heard Romina asking him. She’s already looking at her with a frown and a confused expression on her face. “Are you actually following me?”
“Technically, yes,” Luciel responded, as-a-matter-of-factly tone dripping on his voice. “Have you forgotten? I am your Guardian.”
“Yeah right, my Guardian Evil whatsoever,” Romina added. “But you can’t just follow me around, you know? It’s not like I’m in danger or something. I’m just going to borrow a book from the library and come back to the classroom. People might get suspicious if you kept on following me around.”
“Then what’s the point of me being your guardian if I will not follow you around?” Luciel asked, slightly frowning at her. “That doesn’t make sense, actually.”
“Then-then just make yourself invisible or something like you transform, you know what I’m saying?”
Luciel slightly quirked his left brow. “Have you forgotten what you instructed me earlier?”
Romina frowned and she remembered what she said to Luciel that he would never bewitch people if he wanted to stick with her.
Right, I did tell him that.
“And you actually said that you don’t like my demon form,” he added.
“Ugh, you’re so annoying,” Romina muttered and couldn’t help but sigh. “Well, then, you can follow me but please… PLEASE don’t make it too obvious or else people will be suspicious about you, about us.”
Luciel nodded. “Yes, my lady.”
“Ugh, stop it. It’s too fancy and kinda cringy.”
As soon as Romina turned her back on him, his eyes went crimson red once again as he swiftly grabbed another apparition who was about to cling onto Romina’s shoulder and before it could even scream in shrill terror, he squeezed its head like a stress ball once again and made it burst like a balloon. It also dissolves into black smoke until it was completely gone.
“This kid is such a troublesome thing,” Luciel muttered to himself.
I didn’t expect she had this huge and immaculate soul to attract apparations. What a bothersome, indeed.
“What are you looking for?” Luciel asked as he kept on trailing behind Romina like a lost puppy which she finds so annoying but decided not to argue about it since it'd be tiring for her to do so.
“I am looking for the copy of Les Miserables here. I actually remembered that it has a limited twenty copies here in the library and I need to find it since I’ll write my book report tonight—right, our book report tonight—since it’ll be due next Fri—ah, wait!” Romina immediately pointed at Luciel. “I’ll make good use of you. Go find me a copy and we could share it later and make our own book reports.”
Huh. Humans really are troublesome.
“But you told me not to use my powers,” Luciel told her, obviously teasing her.
“Ah, shut it, Luciel. Yes, I told you not to use your powers ONLY IF IT’S NOT NECESSARY. But since I need to find the copy right away,” she, then, pushed him to the other shelf. “Go find it.”
And humans are so contradicting.
“Okay, fine. As you wish.”
It’s not bad having a powerful guardian, huh? Romina grinned. She, then, went back to the shelf she'd been looking at earlier and tried to find the said copy of the book.
“What took that guy so long?”
I actually expected that he'd find it in a nanosecond since, you know, he has powers.
When she couldn’t find it on the shelf that she'd been sitting on, she looked for the other shelf only to find a young maiden that looked like the same age as her silently standing on the shelf.
She actually finds her weird since the girl was actually covering the side of her face with her dark long hair.
Mukha s`yang white lady (she looked like a white lady). She couldn’t help but think about it. Ugh, Romina, you’re being so judgmental. Don’t be like that. Maybe, she’s just shy.
“Oh, maybe I could just ask her,” Romina muttered to herself. She showcased the brightest smile on her face and approached the girl. “Hello. I see you’re looking for books as well. Do you mind if I’ll ask you?” the girl was silent and she was actually waiting for her response. Taking the girl’s silence as a yes, Romina spoke. “Have you seen a copy of Les Miserables on this shelf?”
The girl was still silent and she was actually waiting for her response. “Umm, hey?”
She was about to tap her when she felt goosebumps that she couldn’t help but frown.
It’s eerie. The atmosphere suddenly became so eerie that Romina couldn’t help but feel the goosebumps and chills in her system. She suddenly heard a giggle and she noticed that the girl she was talking to was the one who was giggling.
It’s not actually a normal giggle. It’s so creepy and eerie for her liking.
Romina slowly moved backward and decided to just leave and ignore the weird girl she was talking to.
“Kekekeke it smells good kekekeke…” she heard the girl speaking. “It smells good kekekekeke,” the girl’s voice became more eerie and creepy that Romina actually felt chills down her spine.
She gasped that the girl’s head suddenly twisted and faced her and her eyes widened, petrified when she saw how nasty the girl’s face was—eyes huge with small black pupils, pale—or more like the girl’s face was bluish pale, that’s it—and it was so terrifying that she couldn’t describe anymore on how scary the girl it.
“LET ME HAVE YOUR SOUL!!!” the girl suddenly screamed. It was really terrifying that Romina didn’t actually have a chance to even cover her ears or run.
Save me!
LUCIEL, SAVE ME!!!
In a nanosecond, Luciel suddenly appeared before her eyes and grabbed the ghost’s face. The ghost actually struggled on Luciel’s hold, but Luciel’s hold was so firm that his hand suddenly transformed into his usual form—his nails covered in black, as if it was a claw that actually dug into the ghost's face. He squeezed its head down to its neck like a stress ball once again and made it burst like a balloon. It also dissolves into black smoke until it is completely gone.
Actually, not completely because the ghost’s hand was about to hold Romina’s head, but Luciel was so quick that he actually grabbed the ghost’s hand and crumpled it like paper until it was totally destroyed.
Romina took a glimpse of Luciel’s crimson red eyes before it slowly turned into normal brown eyes.
“Wha-What was that…?” finally recovered from the shock, Romina asked him.
“It’s an apparition,” Luciel answered her. He was actually holding the book Romina asked him, so he fought the said apparition with one hand. With seriousness on his face, he added. “And starting today, you’ll expect more encounters with ghosts and apparitions… for they’re after your body and soul.”
