CHAPTER 13: The One with the White Wings

“Why are you after that kid?” Luciel asked. “I don’t want to be an apparition forever. I want to have my own body and you can’t stop me from having this body!” She flinched because of how eerie the voice of the apparition is. Wait… the kid looks familiar… “AH!” Romina muttered loudly. “NO WAY!” “It took Marivic’s ten-year-old form, am I right?” It took Marivic's ten-year-old appearance and it was so terrifying of how morphed its face was. It looked demonic, a monster. Shocked and terrified, Romina nodded at him and he couldn’t help but clicked his tongue in annoyance. “What a total bothersome, indeed,” he faced the apparition that kept on leeching on the unconscious Marivic. “You know, you can’t do that, right? You can’t force yourself to be with the living by just sucking their life force and trying to control their life in general. You don't belong in this realm. So stop what you’re doing right now.” “You don’t tell me what to do, you demon!” the apparition shouted and immediately carried—or more like dragged—Marivic out of Romina’s room through the window. “NO!!! MARIVIC!!!” Romina shouted as she ran trying to pull Marivic. Luciel immediately stopped her. “You’re going to fall, you idiot.” She immediately grabbed him by the shoulder. “Marivic! Please save Marivic! Please save our friend please!!!” Luciel frowned then sighed as he spoke. “I don’t even know what is this friendship you humans kept on telling me that you made such a huge fuse about this. But since you begged for my mercy and help, I will even if it’s bothersome.” “Please save her, Luciel. Please.” “I will. Stay here,” Luciel immediately flew out of Romina’s window to follow the said apparition who didn’t really go farther from their location. Impatient, Romina went out of the house and followed them. She’s running as she kept on looking up to see if she’s still on track with Luciel and the apparition. They’re right above an empty lot when Luciel managed to stop the apparition while Romina was just below them, watching them and trying to figure out how she could possibly help. “I’m not nice but since my human is watching me so I’ll hold my short patience for a bit longer,” Luciel offered his hand. “If you don’t wanna be gone and get dragged to the depths of the underworld, give me the kid.” “This body and soul are mine!!!” the apparition screamed in a horrifying manner. “You’re seriously a pain in the a*s. Guess, I have no choice but to do this,” pulling one of his black feathers, Luciel made it transform into a black sword which actually made Romina stare at it in astonishment. The apparition was about to suck on Marivic’s neck when Luciel was finally in front of it and grabbed its neck. But the apparition was so firm and didn’t have any plans of letting go of Marivic. “Don't stop me, you demon! This body and soul shall be mine!!!” the apparition screamed in a horrifying manner once again. “Well, you chose to vanish, indeed,” he was about to stab the apparition when a bright light suddenly appeared in front of them. Romina couldn’t actually look through that light that she couldn’t help but cover her eyes. Luciel slightly flinched but that didn’t stop him from planning to stab the said apparition. Suddenly, something blocked his sword and he saw a white pair of wings in front of them, slightly blending with the light and overpowering Luciel’s black ones. When Romina could finally see through the light, she also saw those pair of white wings that were also huge like Luciel’s. The one with white wings. What is it? “I just couldn’t fathom how a demon touched my human.” Luciel frowned and saw a familiar angel in front of him who’s now against his sword while its other hand was holding the unconscious Marivic. Before he could even realize it, the apparition was already tied in a gold chain, transforming back into a huge spiky black ball of an evil spirit. “It’s been a long time, Luciel,” the angel smiled at him. “And you’re here now, creating ruckus in the human’s world." Luciel frowned as he moved backward and held his sword down. “Simeon…” Romina was frowning the moment she saw Luciel facing an angel. What is happening right now?
