29. Balls

We go to the morning room and talk about the boat with the guys.

Kane grabs my head after about 10 minutes. "Nice bite princess."

I pull my hair back over it.

Tre peeks at it. "Did Mary figure out what that ointment is or where to get it?"

Kane looks at him. "Do you realize how dangerous it is to bite her? You really can destroy the bond that fast, and you will not be able to fix it."

"I had her pinned down. She wasn't going to be able to bite me back."

Dipak's eye's go red. "You did it on purpose?"

"What did he do on purpose?" We all turn to Mary in the doorway. No one moves.

She see's the bite mark and walks out.

"I think maybe we should all run."

She comes back in and throws a tube of ointment on the table. "The bond will get destroyed. There will be nothing left of it. If you really think you can pin down this squirmy, wiggly, sneaky teenager, enough that you would bet your entire future on it. There's the ointment. The only bond you can break is your own with her. So, if you're really willing to chance it, do it. You can keep that tube. I have more. But when one of you breaks the bond, you will eventually. Do not come crying to me. There's no way back from that." She walks out.

Dipak stares at me. "I wonder what happens if we bite you at the same time."

"That's the eject button, Dipak. My head pops off."

Tre grabs the tube and puts some on me. "I won't bite you again baby. She's right. It's not worth the risk. You are really squirmy and sneaky."

"Really sneaky."

"I want to bite one of you. I want to see what it does."

Both of them. "NO."

"Why?"

"How do you plan on holding either of us down?"

"Rope."

"We have dragon strength baby." Tre lets my hair drop back down.

"And you have an extra 2 targets woman." Dipak stands up and kisses my head. "It's not worth the risk sweetheart. Promise me you won't try it."

"I promise I won't bite either one of you on purpose."

Tye gives me a funny look.

"I bit him before by accident. Fangs don't have to be out for the effect of it to take over."

Kane sits up. "Really?"

"Yea. She went to bite my shoulder or something and I moved. She ended up biting right on my marking spot with her teeth. No fangs. Only her teeth. It gave me the full effect. My fangs came out, and I bit into her so damn fast. I still managed to hold her down when her fangs came out. But that one scared me. That was close."

"The weird s**t I learn around you people."

Tre nods. "You know you can make someone c*m by dragging your fangs across their marking spot, right?"

"WHAT?"

"They have to be turned on. You can't randomly go up to someone and do it. They have to be turned on."

I laugh. "I would be in trouble a lot more if I could surprise them with it."

Dipak winks at me. "I don't think it works anyway." He draws his fangs and drags them over my marking spot that doesn't have holes in it. "Anything sweetheart."

"Only a very strong urge to break your nose."

"I got it." Tre punches him right in the face. He falls backwards. His nose breaks. Blood pours out.

Dipak stands back up. "Yea, I probably deserved that one. Sorry sweetheart, I didn't think that through."

Tre rolls his eyes. "f*****g idiot."

I stare at Kane. "They have to be turned on." Him and Tye bust out laughing. I roll my eyes. "So, what are all our jobs going to be on the ship?"

"I'm captain."

"Mary will probably allow you to think that."

He smiles.

Kane throws some food in his mouth. "I'll be your protector on the ship."

I get a drink. "I'm going to be a pirate."

Tye smiles. "Me too."

"I guess I'll be the one who finds the treasures and learns to navigate."

Dipak smirks. "We should probably both learn to navigate."

I roll my eyes. "You 2 are going to argue all the time about which direction to go."

Kane smiles. "I know how to navigate. I can teach you. But it does take a bit of time to learn."

Tye sits up. "Teach me too."

Kane glances at me.

"I'll pick it up as we go."

"I don't doubt that at all."

"So we'll all be able to navigate at some point. We should all probably learn to drive too. I mean you won't be able to be awake 24 hours a day. And it's not like we can just park in the middle of the ocean."

"Knowing our captain, he will try."

Tye smirks. "Yea, he'll need a damn nap."

I stand up because I'm laughing to hard.

Dipak jumps up beside me and fans me. "DAMN IT TYE. YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE HER PEE."

Tre jumps up. "AND NOW YOU GOT DIPAK ALL WORKED UP. HE'S GOING TO HAVE TO GO TAKE A NAP." Tye falls out of his chair. He's laughing so hard.

I nearly fall over.

Dipak catches me and holds me up. "My naps aren't that funny woman."

I hug him. When I finally calm down, I give him another hug. "You have the best naps sir."

Kane sits back. "We really didn't figure anything out."

"If we all learn to navigate and steer the boat, as long as one of us is at the big wheel thing. That will be good. Dipak can be captain. Tre can do all the treasure stuff. You and Mary, can be on vacation. Me and Tye can be pirates and make people walk the plank. That seems good."

"You will still need servants on the boat for cleaning. Unless you are going to mop and cook everything every day."

I shake my head.

"I would say at least 15."

Dipak writes it down. "We will have enough of those little cots for that many. We can make them do all the daily stuff."

"And salt water is not fresh water. You can't cook, drink, or bathe in it. We will have huge fresh water tanks on board. But you still don't want to waste any."

I tilt my head. "Are you a pirate, Kane?"

"No. But my village was right on the sea. We had a lot of boats and ships. That was a long time ago. Everything is different now. But navigation is still the same. Don't worry."

"How does navigation work?"

"If you don't want to mess up at all, you can use the sun and the stars. If you want something man-made, you can go with a compass. I will show you both ways."

I jump up to say I'm so excited, but I hit my knee on the table and start hopping around. "f*****g OUCH."

"What were you doing?"

"I got to excited, Tre." I sit back down after a minute. "Can we search for stuff that isn't treasure too?"

"Like what baby?"

"We can stop in Egypt and I can show everyone the ancient wall I blew up."

Tre rubs his eyes. "We have to remember to watch her when we get off the ship. She will do some real damage and then steal things."

Tye smiles. "That is what pirates do."

"I'm going to be a good pirate." He nods at me.

Then Dipak rubs his eyes.

"We will have to stop places along the way. Refill water and food. They are going to want to explore. It's going to happen."

I nod fast. "It's going to happen. We are going to escape off the boat and find treasures everywhere. We are pirates."

Tre and Tye laugh. Kane shakes his head and smirks.

Dipak pulls me in close and kisses my head. "I love you woman."

"I love you too."

"Fine. I will let you escape off the boat, if you go to the ball with me in 3 days."

"That's cheating."

"No it's not. I want a chance to make it up to you. I'll do better. Treat you like you should be treated."

"If I have to give you another doorknob, I will never let you escort me anywhere else. Ever again."

"You won't sweetheart. Can I take you?"

"I expect grapes. Ask either one of them if you need directions. Even Tye noticed that I need grapes. And he only seen Tre do it once. So, don't forget GRAPES."

"Grapes. Got it."

"You really had grapes?"

"Yea, I seen you giving them to her for every speech. Figured I should probably have some."

Tre puts an eyebrow up. "Can Dorseti and Elkie come with me and Tye? We don't want doorknobs either."

Tye smiles. "We will probably be trying to get him to piss you off all night, so you will give him another doorknob."

"You 2 and those damn doorknobs." I shake my head. "Yes, I will tell them we are not mad at you anymore. They will be excited." I glance at Tye. "You will have to hold onto one of them. Thora will go for a second date."

He busts out laughing.

"Oh that reminds me." I jump up and grab the little skirt. "I don't know how it reminded me of this, but it did. This is what men wear in Egypt and I would like to make it into the uniform for my throne. You guys would wear it right?"

I get 4 "No."

"OH COME ON."

"It's a damn skirt woman. No one is going to wear that."

"BUT THE MEN IN EGYPT DO."

"We're not in Egypt baby."

"But when we go to Egypt to see my ancient wall, you will wear it, right?"

"Still no."

"Sweetheart, every time someone tries to move or sit, we're all going to see balls."

I put my eyebrows up. Dipaks rubs his eyes.

Tre rubs my shoulders. "Think of my father baby. Or your father."

"AAAAAHHHHHH!" I throw it across the room. "Never mind."

They all laugh. I sit there traumatized.

"I don't want to talk about that any more guys."

"Are you sure baby?"

"YOUR MOM HAS BOOBS TRE. I'm going to the medical area. Going to try and get these images out of my head. I'll cut someone open if I have to." I get up and walk out. They all sit there laughing.
