CHAPTER: 20 Stampede

“Alice don't run… Just be with us”, Erica says to her younger sister. “Sister don't worry I won't run so far from here”. After saying it to her, Alice just runs around the forest. Erica and Dain were walking together, Dain is the team as well as lover to her. In the adventures guild at least two person teams have to be for joining and Erica and Dain were a team and went on an adventure to earn some money.

   Today Alice wants to see how her sister fights with monsters and is so strong. Erica tried so much to stop her but Alice just being so adamant and without any choice, accepted and now they three going on for small quest to get some flowers. “Dain, what is the name of the flower?” Erica asked him and once again he said to her, “I already said to you… It is called Purple Lily. This flower is very rare and only on the Wigen mountain which is so near to the wizard's kingdom but also this mountain has fewer monsters than any other place so I chose it.

   “Don't worry Erica, there would be no problem for Alice, even if she is then sure I will help her and keep Alice and you safe”. While Dain said it, Erica smiled and said, “You are stronger than me” when she said it Dain looked at her for a few seconds and said, “Erica don't be modest, your sword has the unique power which has mana equal to the hero”. When he said it Erica smiled and said, “Yeah you can say that my sword has mana equal to the hero’s sword mana but I am not experienced and talented equal to him and also there is no way I would become so powerful like him”.

   When she said it Dain held her hand and said, “Don't say it, you are a really powerful person I know. And also I am sure that one day you will become just like the hero”. Erica was so happy and kissed him, you are so sweet towards me and my sister. After getting married sure we three live happy lives together. And Dain said, “Yeah, that’s the main reason we both entered into the adventurers guild. After getting some money and land to live then we can live our life without any trouble”.

   And Erica looked sad and said to him, “Yeah, I don't want to lose our life just like my parents. If anything happens to us then sure Alice will suffer more in this dangerous world. At last, they three reached the end of the swordsmen kingdom and entered the forest. It is the only safe route towards the Wigen mountain. This mountain is named after the serpent Wigen, who is the protector of the Wizard kingdom. After running so much Alice was so tired and Dain was carrying her on his shoulder and walking towards the mountain.

   While Alice was murmuring in the sleep which was so cute of her it made Dain and Erica. While walking they started to hear some noises around the forest and then suddenly Erica and Dain noticed that the monsters living in the forest started to run towards them, it was like a stampede. “Erica… RUN” and then Dain started to run so fast while carrying Alice on his shoulder and Erica holding his hands and running with him, she had no heart to leave them and run ahead. And then Dain tripped on the tree root and fell on the ground while Alice flew some distance and dashed her head hard on the tree. Erica gets towards her sister soon and checks on her head.

   After seeing she was being unconscious Erica was so feared at that moment and Dain also gets near to her and asked Erica to run away from there but the monsters were running without noticing on their front and also Dain, Erica are being the middle of the route so they can’t able to take sideways to escape. If they try to run sideways then sure they get caught on by monsters and die.

   Then Dain noticed a cave in front of them and for some reason, the monsters were avoiding entering to escape from the stampede Erica and Dain got there with Alice and hid completely. Erica was looking after Alice’s wound while Dain was looking at the monsters and checking on whether they will enter inside the cave, fortunately, none of the monsters entered the cave, and also the stampede ended and the monsters were gone. After some time Alice was slowly gaining her consciousness and looking at her sister.

   “Sister, my head was hurting so much. I am sorry that I got hurt and because of me, you both got hurt. I am being so selfish and stupid, I am sorry” Alice was saying to Erica and crying so much. At that time Dain gets near to her and says, “Oh… Small Alice started to cry… What I said to you, Alice. Being selfish among family is not always wrong, you can be as you want because we three are always a family. And also you already promised to me that you won't cry again but now you were letting out your tears which made me so sad”.

   And then soon Alice stopped crying and got near to Dain and hugged him tightly, “I won't cry again and also I am happy to have you with us, Dain. You are like my daddy to look after me and sister Erica being like a mother to me and I am a child. It is a family, I love to be in this family” Alice said with a smile and laugh. Suddenly they heard a voice with an evil aura. Which gave them sudden chills and that aura made them fear so much that they weren't able to move a single muscle on their body.

   But somehow Dain was moved and pushed Alice away from that cave and shouted, “Alice get out from here and get some help”. While he was saying it, a big hand with a dark black grabbed Erica and Dain then dragged them inside the cave. After witnessing it Alice was so terrified and to get some help she started to run towards the forest but as far as she was able to see there was no one even though without losing hope Alice was just running around for help and shouting so loud. And her head is also pains so much even though to save her sister and Dain she is just holding it and looking around for other adventures.

   At that time she sees a person walking alone in the forest like a dead person. At first, she was afraid of him from behind but without any choice, Alice gets near to him and holds his shirt on the back. And that person stopped and looked at Alice for a second because she was being so small and adorable but her eyes were red like she was crying so badly and her dress was filled with dirt. “Are you alright? Is there anyone with you?” That person asked her and Alice was trembling to say the words, after noticing her problem that person kneels and looks straight into her eyes and talks so she won't feel fear.

   “My name is Danny… Did you lose your way home? Do you need any help?” Danny asked her and Alice replied, “My sister Erica and brother Dain were caught inside the cave, help me”. At first, Danny didn't want to do it but he saw how bad she was, and the wound was still open and it was bleeding badly but still, Alice was looking for help which felt hard on his heart and said, “Ok, I will help you. Show me the way”
